~Tournament Final Round~
~Round 2 of 7~

------

The brisk, mountain breeze blew all around. Countless, tiny flurries danced all around, guided by the mountain winds. A random, unlucky few flurries met an unfortunate end, having come into contact the the crimson blades of the assassin called Loharr Talem. One such blade was held off the the side, aimed downwards at the ground. Crackling and hissing, as it was currently in contact with his opponents lightsaber. The second lightsaber was being thrust directly at his Housemates' torso.

He was also utilizing the Force to attempt to Choke his opponent. He would keep that up for a little while longer.

The way the two of them were arranged seemed to cease all movement, as Loharr was plotting out his next move.

His opponent and he were very close together. There was a lot that the both of them couldn't do, but so much more that they COULD. He had to think his next move through very carefully, as any mistake at such a close distance could prove to be fatal. And he wasn't to keen to experience that permanent state that he, himself forced others to experience. Loharr's eyes tracked down to his opponent's left leg. It was perfectly positioned to kick, as his entire right side was exposed. But would his opponent utilize such a strike?

Then he realized something else.

He had just thrust his lightsaber towards his opponent, whose left hand was completely empty. That wasn't good. Not a good position to be in at all. At this rate, thinking too much would be detrimental to his own health. Screw thinking, it was time to act.

Time resumed its normal scale, as the flurried continued their elegant dance around the battlefield, and around the two dueling Sith.

Keeping his Choke up, still aimed at his opponents' throat, Loharr quickly pulled his right lightsaber back, getting it out of the immediate range of his opponents' reach he hoped. As he did that, he applied pressure to his left leg, which stung once more, but Loharr couldn't think about the pain, or more... couldn't afford to think about it, as he pushed back against his opponents lightsaber.

Once he had pushed back against his Housemates' lightsaber, his body twisted, using his left leg as a pivot point, which stung even more now, as the motion was more extreme this time. The twisting motion of his body gave his right leg the momentum it needed to shoot off the ground, arcing around where he was positioned, as his boot was now on a direct course with his opponents' head.

As his leg soared through the air, on a direct course for his opponents' skull, Loharr felt a brief sense of relief upon his left knee. It seemed that the windy conditions of the mountain caught his pant leg just right, allowing for a refreshingly chill breeze to invade the space. Cooling the blood and wound a bit. It was likely to be the last bit of relief that Loharr would experience for some time.

Round number 2/7
Final round
Snow fell lightly on Urizen but he didn’t care his, only focus was his opponent that was currently lunging at him, prepared to impale him, if Urizen didn’t think fast. The sound of hissing could be heard from both opponents lightsabers, due to the heat giving off that melted the snow falling onto them, ‘hiss, hiss and hiss’, went the noise as each new flake met its demise.
Urizen felt an invisible force constrict his throat and quickly put up his force barrier, to protect himself from any further injuries that it may cause. Urizen chocked a bit, feeling the effects weaken until it weared off, luckily due to his opponent being equally if not more tired as him hopefully it was quick.
Urizen looked at his opponent hatefully and said, “I thought you would be different...brother but alas I was wrong, you are a coward... lacking respect and decency for your opponent’s... oh how the mighty have fallen”, attempting to anger the person hopefully leading to an opening and disrupt his current action.
Urizen saw the impale coming his way, quickly as on instinct swerved his body to the right and jumped back, watching the lightsaber fly past hi body by a foot, a few inches closer and it would have skewered him.
Urizen’s heartbeat raced, hammering against his chest due to being so close to death’s door, ‘Ba dum, ba dum, ba...dum’, went Urizen’s heart as is stabilised after a few seconds and his re-composure came back with new fury added, but he would not show it on his face, as his opponent may try and use it against him.
Urizen quickly enhanced his body with telekinetic energy to speed up his physical speed and attempted to reach out with his left arm and grab the arm from below, hoping to grab it as it continued its current trajectory, hoping that it wouldn’t be pulled back in time by his opponent.
As Urizen continued to hopefully attempt to grab the arm, he put his left leg in front of his opponent's right leg, positioning it as a wedge position and built up the force and attempted to yank, him with all his might and hatred again hoping to trip him over his leg with a force pull, which could also hopefully lead to a better chance of catching his arm.
Urizen hoped, he had caught his opponents arm in time and swung his lightsaber down with all his might and anger, hopefully enhancing his speed due to the emotions he could feel as well as the enhancement from the telekinetic energy and attempted to hopefully severe the limb.
Urizen then jumped back in case his opponent, tried to make a wild swing at him, all this work had caused him to sweat again and his breathing to become slightly ragged and attempted to hide it from his opponent and said, while facing his opponent “you... are but a flower... within this storm...and my shadow will consume your light”, as he spoke, he felt his reserves slowly trickle back up feeling revitalising energy fill him a bit but, was slow due to being in a battle.
As Urizen carried on trying to catch the arm from the side, he saw his opponent attempt to swing at him, but hit nothing but empty air, as Urizen had already moved out of the way and to the side and twirled his lightsaber after hopefully managing to sever his opponents arm and swung it at is hopefully exposed back, attempting to cut him in two.

Tournament of Darkness - duel for the title of Shadowblade of House Tenebris

As the two acolytes engaged, trading attacks and counters, Draconis looked down at the ground in front of him. Musing over the fragile nature of the mountain slope, with a sudden gesture Draconis’ hand slammed downward, a blast of force energy impacting the ground. Normally not something to be concerned with but the impact caused part of the ground that Loharr and Urizen were engaged and standing upon to shift suddenly as it dislodged and shifted. The cascading effect of it being on the mountain side meant that as the portion of ground they stood upon shifted so did the area around it. Another large piece of ground cracked and began to sink. Loharr and Urizen would feel a slight moment of weightlessness as the ground began to fall out from under them both as several pieces of the mountain slope began to slide and fall down the slope they had been standing above moments earlier. This small avalanche was taking both of them with it as they had begun to be carried down the mountain side with it. Rocks and debris were flung into the air around them. Surviving it would require quick thinking and skill in their abilities. This coupled with the fact that the both of them were still technically engaged in a duel.

Final round
Snow continued to descend around Urizen and on his lightsaber ‘hiss, hiss’, went the noise of his lightsaber as his reacted to the constant the volley of snowflakes that hit it.

The coldness it brought along with the sweat that covered his body sent shivers up and down his spine. The wind blew his coattails to the side due to the windy weather as the snow, that was blown around stung at the visible skin on his face.
The choke was still active, and he felt like he was going to pass out, whilst gritting his teeth due the battle that was going on in his throat between the force choke and the air that was trying to force its way back into his body and into his lungs.
When Urizen thought that it couldn’t get worse, the sound of a rumble alerted him, and he looked in the direction of it and saw that an avalanche had started, causing the ground to vibrate under him as more snow made its way down the rocky slope and into the area that he now resided and was currently battling in.

Cracks suddenly appeared due to the disturbances because of the avalanche, causes bits of the ground to fall away, causing Urizen to lose even more hope, a nervousness, he couldn’t shake off. Suddenly even more cracks appeared spreading out like a disease-like –pattern and a part of it sank than another until Urizen, felt that any sudden movement could set off a chain reaction leading to the whole area collapsing.

Urizen only hoped that the ground would give way soon and hopefully breaking his opponent's concentration and cause distance between them, as Urizen was thinking, he felt a trickle of his force reserves build back up .

As the avalanche drew near and near, the earthquakes and vibrations got worse, to the point that Urizen had to focus most of his energy in maintaining his balance, but alas as soon as it reached his area, he was swept away and quickly getting dragged over the edge, causing him to get flung off the edge and felt himself falling quickly.
Urizen coughed and spluttered as fresh air mad its way back into his lugs, causing him to sigh in relief, as the spots in his eyes disappeared slowly from the choking.
Urizen focused the force and pictured it slowing down his descent, using telekinetic energy to slow his fall and to hopefully provide him with a softer landing, which transitioned into a sliding move, with his left foot facing down the mountain when he landed.

Urizen looked up and saw rocks and debris falling in his area, heading his way and quickly looked round and saw his opponent and hoped that what he was going through, was less forgiving and more hazardous than himself.
Urizen put his weight on his left leg to speed up his sliding down the mountain, so that the rocks and debris didn’t catch him, feeling the aftermath through his feet due to the earthquakes and vibrations they caused on impact, causing him to trip a bit, but recompose himself and catch his footing.
Urizen held out his hand and felt a tingling in his hand and fingers, notifying him of a build-up of force in his hand, he willed it and shaped it in his mind, into tendrils that were ready and prepared to grab and sap, the energy out of anyone that was unfortunately trapped in their vicinity.

Urizen aimed the tendrils in the direction of his opponent and attempted to drain him of all his current force energy to hopefully tire him out and get his own taste of revenge in for the problems that his opponent had caused him
As Urizen continued attempting to drain and leech his opponent of everything he had, Urizen said, hopefully distracting his opponent, so his attempt might stand a better chance of going through “Loharr, you concede with me that we have fought valiantly, and hopefully this duel will be spoken about through the ages, but your tired...stop being defiant, it doesn’t suit your personality or composition as an assassin and give up... its hopeless for you, the next strike will be your death!”.
Snow, rock and debris continued to fall around them the recurring noise of hissing continued, ‘hiss, hiss, hissssss’, as the snow made contact with his lightsaber along with the ‘banging’ of rocks and debris as they landed.
Urizen built up the force in his hand, it was clear as if you looked close enough you would be able to see a blue hue-like aura vibrating and evaporating off his hand, Urizen aimed his hand at his opponent's legs and built-up telekinetic energy into his and released it hoping to knock his legs out of the way and hopefully lead to one of the rocks or debris to hopefully crush him on its way down.

Urizen with his last bit of force energy focused on a rock that was heading his way and quickly attempted to holt its trajectory at him and attempted to redirect it, to throw it at Loharr’s head, hoping to catch him off guard, leading to hopefully knocking him out, or even better, hoping to cave his head in due to the force of the blow and hopefully kill him.

~Round 3 of 7~

------

Loharr was tired. He had immediately entered a new duel, exactly after his previous duel had ended. He was starting to feel the increasingly adverse effects of exhaustion. Sweat beaded on his forehead, upon his neck, and hell, even upon his torso. The chill of the cool winds on the mountain chilled the exposed skin, which was considerably more intense upon his neck and forehead.

He watched as his opponent reached for his arm, which he had started to pull back. He rotated the hilt of his lightsaber, 90 degrees to the left, as he pulled his arm back, allowing his roundhouse kick to continue its path unmolested.

Though, things were about to get interesting.

Loharr watched as there was a lightsaber now coming down where his arm used to be, but where his leg now was. Granted, his leg wasn’t as extended as his arm was, meaning he was in danger of receiving an injury to his leg. From the knee down, at the very least, but that wasn’t going to happen. His focus on the events going on in front of him cost him the focus he needed to keep the Choke on his opponent up, so that was no longer a variable he needed to worry about.

As the lightsaber was coming down, Loharr pulled his right leg in. He watched as the blade of his opponents’ weapon came down, passed his contracted leg, slicing off a sliver of the bottom of his boot.

Unfortunate…. He paid 20c for them.

As the hostile lightsaber had cut down, and his leg tucked in (just in the knick of time), Loharr dropped down and rolling backwards, putting some distance between himself and his opponent, recovering in a kneeling position, with his right knee acting as the base. The cut on his left knee still stung, but it was just that, a cut.

His lightsabers were in front of him, arranged in an “X” formation.

Turns out that rolling backwards was the perfect thing to do, as his opponent had decided the best thing to do was to attempt to laterally bisect him. Not cool.

In that instant, he felt it. The floor was rumbling. In his hyperfocus of his duel, he hadn’t noticed that Lord Draconis had initiated a landslide. Hell, he still didn’t realize it. All he knew was that the ground was shaking.

Then came the awful feeling one gets when they get dropped. Not the one where they expect to be dropped, but for when the drop comes as a complete surprise. His core tensed up, a feeling almost like dense butterflies or perhaps it was comparable to nervousness or anxiety.

He watched as the ground broke apart and his opponent took advantage to slide down to the bottom as quickly as possible. Likely enhanced through the Force. He would need his strength, so he opted to not do anything drastic.

He had also taken the opportunity to deactivate his lightsabers and place them on his belt. Moving down a highly unstable torrent of soil with such weapons would be highly dangerous. Putting them away for now would mitigate that.

He slid down the landslide, struggling to keep his balance, on a chunk of mountain that was barely large enough for him to stand on. He almost fell off a few times. He was thankful he didn’t, as that would have been wildly uncomfortable.

As he continued to focus on not only his balance, so he would not fall off, he focused on his opponent. He watched as darkened tendrils began to reach across the distance which separated the two, and so he threw up his Force Defense, creating a buffer between himself and the tendrils, attempting to make it so that they could not affect him as intended.

He also saw that his opponent was speaking, but he could not quite make out what his Housemate was saying over the sound of cascading dirt and rock. That, and he also didn’t care enough to listen, as his opponent had immediately moved to Push towards him. With his Defense up, that wouldn’t do much, but he still staggered a bit, intensely struggling to keep his balance.

Then, capping it all off. He watched as his opponent moved a collapsing rock, and chucked it at him with the Force. It was directed at his head, so ducking was a simple countermeasure for it.

As he ducked, he reached out with the Force, and with what strength he could muster, he propelled as many stones as he could upwards, from the cascading torrent of dirt and stone, up towards his opponent. An Avalanche for a landslide.

He could feel his strength through the Force fading. He didn’t know how many more abilities he could use.

He just hoped it would be enough to finish the duel.

------

The ground shifted beneath his feet. He could feel it. The momentum and uneasiness of the rock he was currently surfing down the side of the mountain with was increasing exponentially as time went on. That wasn't good. No, not at all. Though he figured if his rock was doing this, he could deduce that the rock his opponent was likely following the same guideline, as set forth by physics.

He didn't have a lot of time to figure things out. His balance was good, but nowhere near good enough to survive a landslide for an extended period of time. He would need to flee the bounds of the catastrophic force of nature, and the longer he waited, the further he would have to move and the more energy he would have to expend.

He had a choice to make here.

How could he get out of here with minimal effort? But he was also relatively close to his Housemate... He could do something to affect his opponent, but would that in turn affect himself to such a degree that it might make his tactical retreat seem like a pipe dream? Or does he leave his reserves to how they are now, potentially giving his opponent a few precious moments to breathe and regain composure?

No.

There was too much at stake here.

Ever since he had joined the Empire, he had desired to obtain the title of "Shadow Blade", and here it was in his reach, but slowly slipping from his grasp. He had felt the tide of battle itself, turning towards his Housemates' favor. That thought enraged him. His dreams, his ambitions, his goals... they would NOT be for naught!

He blinked.

His eyes went from brown to red and yellow. He was enraged by this fact, that his Housemate was getting the best of him. He could feel an increase of Force power, if only a little, a testament to his anger and fury, as displayed by his eyes, and he knew then and there he had to do something.

He pushed himself, digging deep into his anger and his passions, his desires. Letting out a roar of rage, he threw both of his hands forward, attempting to maintain his balance as best he could, Pushing at his opponent with as much strength as he could manage to muster, aiming to knock him off balance at best, or Push him from his stone at best.

He felt his strength in the Force diminish greatly after that, and he knew then it was time to retreat.

Quickly turning around, he began to carefully jump to and from rocks and stones he found to be large enough, making his way to the edge of the landslide as fast as he could possibly travel.

Urizen watched as the avalanche continued descending the mountain side without any hope of stopping, this annoyed and scared Urizen at the same time. He could tell that if it carried on, he may soon be killed by being crushed he couldn’t allow that, especially as he had come so far.

Urizen kept an eye on the avalanche but primarily focused on his opponent, who he saw had pushed both his hands foreword and looked like he was about to use a force ability and quickly focused his force and shaped it into a protective barrier to hopefully dulling its affects, to hopefully add an extra layer of defence, he crossed his arms in a defensive manner over his chest. To his surprise the force push pushed him back a bit, but nothing that he would consider endangering.

Urizen’s eyes focused back on his opponent and watched as his opponent turned tail and started hoping between rocks to get to the edge of the landslide and to safety.

Urizen smiled and shouted over his shoulder as he did the same but on the opposite side “That's it, run you coward, lick your wounds, get strong and when you do, we will have our fight!!”

Urizen carefully made his way over rocks, jumping between them as fast as he could possibly go, whilst focusing on his balance, so that he was hopefully safely out of harm's way and hopefully on safe land.

Urizen turned round as soon as he landed safely on the ground and outstretched focusing on the force and saying internally “I am your Master obey me...slave”, he willed it and shaped it back into devastating tendrils again ready to lash out and suck the force out of anyone that was caught in their grasp.

Urizen aimed the tendrils at his opponent and commanded them to attack and hopefully sap the remaining energy from his opponent as he did this, he this, Urizen shouted, with a hint of madness in his voice “You are nothing but a slave, a conduit to achieve my full potential and destiny...so die”

Urizen felt his energy reserves fill up slowly as time passed, his heart rate slowed down, as his fatigue washed away in time as his reserves filled up.

Krayiss II - Mountain ridge
Tournament of Darkness - duel for the title of Shadowblade of House Tenebris

Both Loharr and Urizen had managed to make it beyond the danger of the rock slide, as each of them navigated themselves to relative safety through a series of leaps and jumps across the sliding debris field.

Loharr had executed a force push to slow down his opponent which had been countered with a Urizen throwing up a force barrier to act as a resistance to the force energy directed at him. While Urizen’s counter would have lessened the impact, it was surprising that he was not affected more. Still with a resolve he pursued his opponent, landing Urizen directing a stream darkside energy charged tendrils at Loharr, as he called out to Loharr to submit in a way, there was no power of the mind behind it his words, though it was a good form of duh moch.

Loharr would need to avoid the tendrils or risk suffering a devastating drain to his force abilities and energy. Though Loharr would have a bit more space and time to deal with as Urizen may have misjudged the counter to the force push he had been hit with - his timing and arrival on the landing area potentially off.

Draconis stood watching from above, continuing to observe the two acolytes. They were about 75 meters down the slope away from him now. They could move up the slope, but their progress would be slow.

Urizen continued looking at his opponent and decided, a change in direction with the taunting was required as his plan seemed not to be working and decided he may have to try and attacking his character instead, whilst he was thinking this his force barrier was still around him, hopefully acting as a protective cocoon.
out of nowhere, Urizen burst out laughing at his opponent saying between laughs, “I just realized something; I know why my taunts before had no affect... your prideful, but weak... they should never go together, but here they are, embodied by you of all people it's so funny and your funny...relying on trivial ideologies of you being the best and being prideful in the skills, you have achieved...but it doesn’t matter...you're a failure to the house...to your family and more importantly...yourself...now come to me brother and experience the death you have been longing for, so I can win and wipe away your pitiful existence! ”

Urizen kept his hand up and carried on attempting to drain his opponent and hopefully take all his opponents force energy for himself. Urizen hungered for it...it was his drug... his gift and his curse, madness consumed him slightly at the prospect of hopefully gaining more force energy, he didn’t care if it caused him pain while the move was active all that went through his head was..." More, I need more, give me more...I need it...I need more power”.

Urizen kept his eyes on his opponent, as he felt his reserves fill slightly due to the drain he was attempting and smirked. His eyes slightly shadowed by his hair, if you looked closely, you could see a tint of red in his eyes signifying that he allowed all his hate, anger and madness to consume him, to hopefully give him focus and to hopefully strengthen his current force abilities.

As Urizen kept up his attempt at draining and his barrier still up, doubt started to creep up at the back of his mind, would he make it in time? but pushed it down... he had to try and win...no, he needed to win, the sacrifice is worth it.
Urizen re-focused himself and his attention into the drain, that he attempted and hoped it would help him out in this time and hopefully rejuvenate his almost empty reserves.

As Urizen carried on with the attempted drain he looked up the mountain slope, to see Lord Draconis staring down on them, the look motivated the acolyte to push harder...to be better and with all his will power pushed even more force and anger into his drain, hoping it would make it more successful and hopefully hit his opponent.

------

Loharr watched as his opponent summon forth a steady stream of dark side tendrils, aiming them right at him. They were certainly going to be a probably be an issue if he allowed them to make contact. He could feel the effects of exhaustion beginning to creep in on him. He felt the sweat dripping down his skin, tickling the epidermis as it crawled. His breathing was considerably heavier now, which he hadn't noticed as he was careening down the mountainside whilst boulder surfing.

Turns out maintaining balance on a moving rock is a lot more taxing than previously thought.

Back to the present train of thought now... Loharr put up his Force Defense again. With his passions burning at a high point, it seemed his power had recovered a bit, just enough to put up a defensive barrier against the tendrils, and then he heard his opponents rant, or rather... the blatant attempt at an attack on his character.

This seemed to break through Loharr's patience, and he felt his anger rise. Just as water boils.

"You..." Loharr said, utilizing his voice during a duel for the first time ever. "You lecture me on being weak and a failure? You, who have done little else but ride the coattails of your Master? I have never wavered in my devotion to the Empire, to our House... learning new skills and bettering myself, while you are little more than a parasite, leaching off of your Masters' presence and authority. You may have my trust, 'brother', but you have forever lost... my respect..."

Loharr blinked and his red and yellow eyes seemed to be more brilliant than they had been before. Still exhausted, but still with his Force reserves up enough, he continued his Defense against his opponents onslaught of tenaciously twisting tendrils, tightly turning like tentacles. Then he saw his opponent make a mistake. It might not be a mistake to many others, but to him, it certainly was. His Housemate turned his attention to somewhere up the mountain, which meant he was looking away.

Perfect.

Pulling one of his lightsabers off his belt, he turned it on, and threw it towards his opponent, its crimson blade spinning rapidly as it careens through the air, towards his Housemate.

Krayiss II - Mountain ridge
Tournament of Darkness - duel for the title of Shadowblade of House Tenebris

With both of the acolytes more firmly on solid ground, the duel continued. Urizen poured what energy he had left into his force drain, seemingly fully committing to it as one of his last attempts to bring this match to a close. The words he cast at Loharr, did evoke a response finally from Loharr causing a bit of imbalance. But was it enough. Loharr raised his defenses against the attempted force drain. It was unclear if Urizen's attempt would even be effective as the distance had never been truly established. With fatigue setting in casting such required concentration - its chances diminishing the greater the distance away from its intended target.

The force defense on Loharrs part depended on two things - how much energy he had left and if it was greater than Urizen's will and concentration.

There was a moment of distraction on Urizen's part, brief but enough to open up for Loharr to offer a counter as one of his lightsabers was hurdled through the air at Urizen. It could possibly break Urizen's concentration and force him to adjust his initial force drain attack or abandon it, or it could also be leveraged by Urizen to put Loharr at a disadvantage if he recognized what to do.

------

This was not good. Loharr felt his Strength through the Force diminishing quickly. So much in fact, that he had a decision to make. A decision that he very much hated.

What was the choice?

Simple. He could use Force Pull on his lightsaber, which had now deactivated (as he was no longer able to keep the activator switch pressed down), and pull it back towards himself. Or... He could keep his Defense up for as long as he could, a few more seconds at most. He deliberated for as long as he could, but in the end, the choice was clear.

He could afford the temporary loss of a weapon, but he refused the loss of crucial vitality and energy, which were now more critical than ever.

And so the die was cast...

The silver cylinder of the lightsaber hilt continued to soar through the air as Loharr pulled the second from his belt, holding it in his right hand as he ignited its crimson blade. Putting as much as he could into his Defense, Loharr let out one last shout before charging forward.

"Let us finish this, 'Brother'!" He roared, a foreign bellicosity and acidity, thick in his words.

He charged forward, closing the distance between the two, and once he was close enough, he attacked. Slashing at his opponent with an upwards diagonal strike, going from his left hip to right shoulder. Keeping up the momentum, he quickly pulled the weapon back for a second attack, slashing horizontally at his throat.

Then, as if by some act of supernatural providence, he felt his hold on his Defense fade away.

What little Strength he had in the Force, was gone for now.

Final round
Urizen heard the 'hiss' of a lightsaber and smiled as his planned, false distraction had paid off and quickly turned his head to face his opponent.

The thing that caught him off guard was his mention of a Master, this confused Urizen. He was still an acolyte and was yet to be taken on as an apprentice and thought "Why mention something that was false, I have no Master...yet?"

Urizen watched as Loharr pulled back his left arm, that currently was holding one of his lightsabers and threw it at him.
Urizen who was currently still carrying on with his force drain with his left hand to hopefully sap his opponent clean of all energy that he had, raised his free hand, after feeling that he had sapped enough for his current attack.

His reserves felt replenished a bit and felt his fatigue slightly disappear away due to his reserves being replenished once again and moved to the side watching as the thrown lightsaber sailed past him harmlessly.

As this was happening, Urizen pulled out his own lightsaber and activated it with a "hiss", red light engulfed the acolyte, the color of the blade mimicking his emotions for his opponent, ones of anger, hate and resentment, deactivating the drain as he did so.

As Loharr got closer, Urizen saw that his opponent went for a diagonal slash across his chest, he wouldn't allow it and so Urizen attempted to deflect his opponents lightsaber back at him with his own blade, while sidestepping.

As Urizen carried on with the sidestep, still using the momentum provided by his opponent and dropped into a leg sweep, attempting to sweep his opponent off his feet and to hopefully create an opening for him. The part of the leg that, Urizen aimed for was the back of the knee, as he hoped that it would be a vital target to hit while also being a harder place to defend at the same time.

Urizen used what little force he had left and focused it to hopefully holding his opponent in place. As he prepared to swing his blade at his opponent, hoping he had enough force to retain his hold on his opponent before its affects vanished.

Urizen then swung down with all his might and hate, hoping they would provide him with a temporary speed boost during his attack.

Urizen's attack was aimed hopefully at his fellow brother's exposed back, attempting to impale his body from behind and hopefully ending the fight once and for all.

After Urizen attempted the impale, hoping to kill his opponent, he said “I’m sorry brother.... but you did not know the steps to this dance”

Urizen felt empty of any type energy, sweat rolled down his face, the cold, cool air felt refreshing on his face and he inhaled the air. He need a rest, his body ached and his his muscles pulsed under his clothes due to how far he had pushed them.

Krayiss II - Mountain ridge
Tournament of Darkness - duel for the title of Shadowblade of House Tenebris

Urizen had shown a calm focus as he simply sidestepped the lightsaber throw from Loharr, letting go of one’s lightsaber was never something done lightly.

Loharr had followed up his saber throw with a forceful saber assault strike in a quick one two slash that flowed from one to the next. Which was met with an equal counter. The leg sweep by Urizen put him into a lower position and potentially a disadvantage, for if it failed to connect he would be out of position. Urizen then attempted to move into a saber attack and a powerful swing. The sequence was fast, which meant there were plenty of opportunities for mistakes and openings. Their movements would become less reliable, their skills wavering, as they attempted to bring about the final checkmate, their overconfidence a weakness.

Both of them were nearly exhausted as intended.

Final round
Urizen breathed in calming himself down, clearing his mind so that he was fully focused on the task at hand...one of hopefully winning the title of ‘shadow blade’ and if that meant having to sacrifice his brother to win so be it, Urizen would mourn his brother’s death later in his own time, right now he had to focus.

Urizen kept a clear and focused head, remembering some words that his mentor had told him “keep a calm and calculated head and you can achieve anything...Urizen” , that was before Urizen decided to kill the man for some extra measly credits, he was a different man now... one of cunning and manipulation instead of who he was before... a brash youth who goes in guns blazing and had family issues.

Urizen would use the momentum from the attempted strike to the back of Loharr's knee to follow through, rolling onto his opponent's back and wrapping both legs at the ankles in front of himself with his free hand. With one leg crossed over the other, he placed his feet on either side of Loharr’s waist and would then stand, using his own legs as leverage to further stretch Loharr’s hamstrings and bend his lower back.

Urizen then positioned his lightsaber at the back of Loharr’s neck and said, “yield and surrender, rabid dog or do you want me to end your miserable life, that’s waiting to be vanquished, having been connected to you for all these years”.

GM ruling:

@Urizen @Loharr Talem

Urizen the rolling onto your opponents back is tantamount to an auto-hit, you cannot manipulate an opponents physical self. The move has to be presented in an opportunity based manner - if you intent to try to enter into a grapple you have to write that you do so, not go ahead and do so. It is far too over reaching to assume you would have your opponent in the position you wish them to be and then wrap your legs around them. You have to write that you "attempt" to do these things. You cannot assume a sequence of events transpires in such a manner.

As a result your post will reflect that you attempt to enter into a grapple of your opponent, but you have not yet begun to get into a position where you could wrap your legs around your opponent.

Loharr will take a physical bludgeoning strike to the back of his knee, but will be able to write his move from that point on with you attempting to get him into a grapple.

~Round 7 of 7~

------

Loharr was breathing heavily now. There was a pulsing sensation in his side, meaning he was fast approaching the limits of his speedy, physical movements. His weapon was already far off to his right, as the wide, sweeping slash attack he had just performed put it well out of the way. He watched as his opponent had side-stepped out of the way, then dropping.

It was here that he had a brief flashback.

His mind had brought him back to nearly a decade ago, back when Dana Carrana was still teaching him how to fight. One of her favorite tactics was, in fact, a leg sweep. A move that he not only learned to counter effectively, but ultimately led to Dana's demise at Loharr's own hand only a few years prior.

But unfortunately, Loharr simply didn't have the strength nor the energy to put forth to counter it.

He felt the back of his legs get struck, sending a painful twinge up his hamstrings, and even as far as his lower back. That kick hurt... a lot. As Loharr collapsed onto his knees, he watched as his opponent began to swing his lightsaber down... hard. Now, his own weapon was way too far away to reach it in time, but he did have one more tool in his arsenal that could help him here.

Acting as quickly as he could, Loharr ignited the blade of his light dagger, raising his left arm to meet the falling lightsaber. Not to block it, no, that would be suicide. To deflect the blade off to the side. The torturous screeching of the blades grinding on one another made it clear that contact had well been made, and the absence of additional pain made it clear that the deflection had worked.

Then, he saw his opponent start to try to roll onto his back. This was quite the unexpected, but perhaps it was his key to victory.

Without expending the rest of his energy, Loharr allowed his opponent to begin the motion of rolling onto his back, but the instant he felt the entirety of his Housemates' weight, his left hand shot upwards, almost as if he were punching at his own head, but bypassing it. He aimed to use his light dagger and stab straight into the back of his opponent during this maneuver. As he did this, his right hand also turned around to stab at the air behind Loharr's back as well, aiming to do the same thing his light dagger was.

His opponent had given him an unexpected boon. His exact location whilst his back was turned, and that boon may very well be the end of this.

"You..." Loharr said, panting heavily and out of breath, "talk too much..."

Krayiss II - Mountain ridge
Tournament of Darkness - duel for the title of Shadowblade of House Tenebris

Urizen had made a fatal mistake, and while he had scored a physical blow it was only temporary as his commitment to his grappling move was ill timed. He was far too out of position and exposed and it would cost him. Loharr fell to his knees but still held an advantage. Countering the lightsaber strike enough to buy him time, he offered up a strike of his own.

As Loharr moved to end the duel, he would feel a force pressing into him. Urizen would feel the same, as both of them were hit with a wave of force energy from above that would send them both tumbling down the mountain slope even further. The tournament had ended, but the quest to claim the mantle of Shadow Blade had just begun.
