Discussion X-wing, Armada, Legion and other miniature games

Custom paint jobs, cunning strategies, or general discussion of what happens on the tabletop, this is the place!

For starters, I only play X-wing miniatures right now (and 4 out of the 7 factions at that!), but I love seeing what people can do with a paintbrush. Pictures encouraged!

Just got a few new Armada pieces. Found a really good local group around me that hosts games. .

I am trying to concentrate on Armada as I know if I got into X-wing my wallet would truly not be able to handle both

Also, if anyone has Tabletop Simulator or Fly Casual, I'd be happy to play some virtual X-wing sometime. I think TTS has modules for the rest of the FFG Miniatures as well.

Where can Tabletop Simulator be found?? And does it cost money? That last question may alter when I may be available to obtain it.

Tabletop Simulator is about the same level of manipulation, being that it's primarily a physics emulator that someone put board games into.

Understandable because it would be a full development project to at in the physics and gaming feature within an actual engine

So far, I’ve not heard anything to turn me away. It’s playing a game I enjoy when I have no other way of playing said game. I’m down to play, no matter the level of individual manipulation that is required.

@Loharr Talem This is the game engine many people use: http://www.vassalengine.org/ you should be able to search Armada within the site for the downloads and there are plenty of youtube videos that over instructions on how to install and set everything up.

I painted some of my Armada B-wings to be the "red" Hera scheme.

Darth Vader in a TIE Defender - reminds me of a mission in the classic video game TIE Defender, in which you fly with Darth Vader in Defenders, while ferrying them to a rendezvous.
