IC- Terrogate
//Duel Training Grounds//

Terrogate walks down the through the entrance of the arena, the loose dust of the floor lightly crunching under his feet as he moved forwards towards the General Grievence Vexx. His steps are a confident steady pace as he looks around the setting for what will be his greatest test to date, and still he was not scared by the legend who would be his opponent. Fear had no place here, not if you wanted to survive long enough to at least be competitive enough to earn some respect.

“Welcome, Soldier of Venom... " Lord Vexx says greeting the young warrior to the dueling arena, ”There is only one General the Empire knows well, for she has earned her reputation through years of struggle, pain, and hardship". Of course Artifex Terrogate knew who he was referring too. Terrogate was the the Order Master of Rememberancers after all, it was his business to know... still, he could not afford to let the enormity of the challenge phase him. He would give it his best and maximum effort, and hopefully give both Lord Vexx and the General a good account of himself. "I wish you luck, Soldier of Venom.” Says Lord Vexx.

"Thank you my Lord, for this opportunity to learn." says the Catharian with a honest but stern voice, he had meditated for some time before entering the arena in preparation, and he was fully focused on the task to come.

Terrogate removes his saber from it's holster with his right hand and moves towards his starting location. His feline eyes focused, easily accounting for the darkness of the shadows within the room they flick about searching for his opponent to enter as he crouches low and assumes the Ataru pre-attack stance. His left hand touching the dusty arena ground lightly, his right hand holding his saber up close to his body next to him. His natural senses heightened, sound.. sight.. he takes in all the detail of his surroundings, the soon to be battlefield. A low growl escapes his throat. He is ready.

There seemed to be not a single living soul in the arena, save for Lord Vexx and his dueling pupil, for even the air seemed still and quiet, and not a sound was audible besides sounds that were their own. Yet, it would not last for very long. A tendril of shadows snakes its way from the sidelines of the arena, scraping coarsely against the paved arena floor...hadn't a statue been there, just beside Lord Vexx, partly hidden by the shadow, partly one of them? If Terrogate was wondering, he wouldn't have much time to figure it out, for soon a great accumulation of ashen wisps had concentrated a few meters before him, swirling around a central point until the area was blackened as if stained by ink.

sZWzwE0.gif
And when they finally dissolved, fading away into the air around them, there was The General. "Terrogate," her voice hissed, inclining her head towards her opponent. "I've been looking forward to this." She says nothing more, maintaining her standing position as the Darksaber flew to her right hand and ignited. She raised her blade slightly outward, so that it formed a forty-five degree angle pointing downward with herself as the vertical line. She did not move, at first, debating how she was going to approach this. The intent was for him to learn, not die, which was simultaneously less fun but also more of a challenge for her. She could kill him in a matter of seconds, really, but this was for him to grow, and it wasn't considered good form to murder pupils who were seeking improvement. But no...she didn't want to kill him, had no purpose for it besides the sport of doing so, and she would gladly put bloodlust aside for a student of an old friend.

She began circling Terrogate, flicking the Darksaber in short, fitful bursts, seeking to create an intentional distraction with both the unconventionally deep hum of her blade and its discordant inflections as she moved its blade through the air. Unorthodoxy was her trademark, and this was just the beginning.

Terrogate crouches low to the floor in readiness to face the General. The arena was silent as the grave save his breathing and the feint occasional whirring of the Lord Vexx's cybernetics that the Cathars feline ears could pick up at the very edge of his hearings range. At once the shadows themselves that lined the walls of the arena began to warp as if alive. Terrogate steels himself as they pull in from all angles and merge before him, this was unlike anything he had seen before and for a brief moment he was wondering what sort of trap Lord Vexx had coaxed him into. Then all became clear as the shadows, now revealed as ashen colored wisps merge and swirled in a central point of the arena. Faster and faster they span and converged and then, all at once they dissipated to reveal his opponent standing proud.

The Cathar focused now on his opponent presented before him, despite the Generals great reputation and vastly superior abilities this was not the time for being intimidated. No, in this moment, in the calm before the storm he needed inner strength, and after his pre-duel meditation this he now had in spades.

His nose pointed to the ground of the arena, his breathing slow and constant, Terrogates eyes raised so see the smaller stature of the General, he out weighed her, and was significantly larger. His natural enhanced agility could possibly match hers..

The Cathar warrior closes his eyes for a brief moment focusing inwards to find his trigger point, when he opens them again in front of him he envisions not just the General Invadator standing before him now, but the Mandalore responsible for the attack on Cathar. His blood boils, a snarl now appearing on his maw. He feels the darkside filling him, he blinks for the briefest of moments and behind his eyes he sees the flames of his home tree, the bodies of his family as Cassus Fett orders the genocide that he narrowly escaped over a Millennia ago, but after stasis and having his mind unlocked he now saw them as is it where only yesterday. He allows the hate to take him, its energy filling every fiber of his muscles.. this was his plan composed in his meditations, this was to be his fuel for there engagement..

The Generals dark saber flies to her outreached hand, she points it downward in front of her, she was a veteran of a countless battles, deadly and calculating. She says little to the apprentice save " Terrogate" acknowledging his presence. "I've been looking forward to this." Terrogate replies with a low deep growling voice, allowing the force to continue to rise in him as he speaks and uses the limited time afforded in the verbal exchange to raise his mind shield and force defenses in preparation....

"Greetings General Invadator, as am I. Your reputation is legend among the Sith of the Empire, I am honored to face you this day, but you should know.. I don't intend on making this easy."

The General begins to circle his position, flicking her dark saber on and off in an effort perhaps to distract, or perhaps she was just toying with him... letting him know how outmatched he was in this moment. Terrogates focus is resolved though, he sees his opponent before him but in his minds eye he only sees the bodies of his Cathar peoples, he gorges himself on the hate that fills his mind for the invaders letting his body become electric with the dark side energies.. The young warrior realizes that the General holds all the advantage in this duel but for a very small few, most of these disadvantages were outside of his control. But the one thing he could control was the time she had to plan on how to dispose of him, so he makes his first move.

Terrogate springs froward off his coiled crouching stance at pace looking to close the gap between the 2 combatants quickly but leaning forwards as he ran so he was still quite low. He reaches out with the force mid sprint and uses telekinesis in way of force push aimed at the ground of the arena between them attempting to blow a wall of loose dust from the floor of the arena at the general expecting to obstruct her view of his incoming attack.

As he approaches the General Terrogate plants his left hand to the ground keeping behind the attempted dust screen, and keeping his reach advantage to try and protect himself from any of the Generals saber attacks he attempts to execute a spinning one handed cartwheel.

Once his hand is landed and his legs are at their peak point he pivots his hips and swings his legs in a propeller type motion attempting to deliver 2 head height kicks to his opponent. As he is supported by his left hand during the attempted cartwheel, his right hand still holding his ignited saber he swings low looking to chop the Generals right leg at the same time.

She can feel his thoughts swirling as his anger quickly ratchets to a higher level -- she does not know the details, nor does she attempt to discover them. What she can feel is his anger radiating off of him in lethal waves, and that is her sole focus for the time being. And when he charges her way, she ceases circling, crouching every so slightly and bringing her Darksaber up to chest level -- holding it in a horizontal guard and pointing towards her left, the majority of the blade directly in front of her body. The wall of dust that flew her way did not risk penetrating her mask's defenses, but for a moment it did blind her physical vision. No matter. She let the debris sweep before her, closing her eyes so that her focus remained on his presence and his motions. She could feel the distance between them was closing rapidly...

She maintained a singlehanded hold on the hilt as he flipped just before her, his legs aiming to kick her in the head. She ducked further down, dodging the attack and was ready for the next. It came in the form of a sweep of his blade towards her legs, but she was prepared for that as well. Tilting her saber to a vertical downward orientation just before his blade reached within a few inches of her boots, she dug its blade into the arena floor to stop his strike. Yet deflection and evasion were not enough for her, and just before their blades shrieked from the sudden blow, the Sith Lord would send a blast of Umbrakinesis that shot towards his ribcage: a blast that would feel like an abnormally large punch hitting his chest and knocking the wind out of him if he didn't find a way to evade or block it.

Terrogate executes his spinning one handed cartwheel through the wall of dust he used to try and block the General’s vision of the move. The young Cathar warrior plants his hand and twists his hips, his legs spin but without making contact to his target who had ducked under his attack, without a connection his body twists on his planted arm with the momentum due to the weight of his legs moving like a propeller in the air.

His lightsaber swing goes low looking to chop the right leg of the General but before he can feel if his saber strikes its target, Terrogate feels a solid hit of force energy at his chest level.

As his torso was already currently turning through his own attacking move, the hit which started at his chest he now feels glance across him and impact primarily into his shoulder. Terrogate winces at the pain that surges through his muscle, the hard hit sending his already twisting body into a momentarily faster spin. Accepting the hit Terrogate lifts his left hand off the ground allowing the kinetic energy of the Generals force hit to speed up his already acrobatic movement, the Catharian trying to use the Generals attack against her and utilize the brief increased speed to his advantage.

Using his natural agility and balance he thrusts his legs still in the air away from the General straightening out his body and lifts his saber upwards attempting to swing it right to left diagonally across the Generals chest as he turns mid-air. His crimson blade held in his right hand in front of him as he spins, the blade starting at her right arm, moving upwards and diagonally across her chest in a fast slashing motion to her left shoulder following the line of his turning body.

She's impressed by his bodily awareness despite the fact that he is simultaneously upside down and spinning. He seems equally capable of righting himself from her Umbrakinetic blow, as well, and his spin increases in speed as if he'd planned it from the start. Invadator is still crouched low, so she's clear from his legs, but his lightsaber may be a different story. Invadator jerks the blade from its place buried into the arena floor, following his upward sweep while still letting him make the full motion of the move as she and her blade rise to meet his. Once their sabers reach chest height (at least for her), she's quick to duck underneath their blades and allow both to pass over her head. But she does not stop there, instead taking a leaping step forward towards Terrogate's exposed shoulder.

At this particular moment in time, if one were to pause and observe the both of them, The General looks like she's about to step into her opponent. But her outermost foot is just to his side...the side from which his saber is facing away, and that give her a chance. Putting her weight on that outermost foot while remaining partially crouched, she used a Force-augmented push to spin her around faster than the human eye could register. For a moment, she was naught but a black blur -- a living shadow of Terrogate turned against him. She extends her saber so that it is flatly horizontal, swinging like a bat to strike him flat across his back.

While it occasionally proves difficult to maneuver in close quarters with an opponent, especially without getting into fisticuffs, this is Reiis Invadator's specialty, part of a saber form she'd been working to develop and hone to perfection. Hardly an officially recognized style, she called it "krigliten" for its suitability for smaller and faster duelists. She'd used it before it had a name...before she even really knew what she was doing. Terrogate was just one of the first official test subjects, and The General was more than eager to try it on him.

OOC: I switched Force Push/Pull to Telekinesis on my CS, as I believe that is how it's normally done. That powers list was made quite a while ago, haha! The rest is correct, though.

Also, to clarify a bit on the move, she basically blocked your blade and moved around it so that it could pass overhead. Then, she darted forwards towards Terrogate (and ever so slightly to the side -- but barely, she's basically charging towards him with just enough room to turn) so that she could spin around and whack you flat on the back. :)

The Cathar warriors attempt to right himself back to his feet and hopefully deliver a hit of his own while doing so had failed as the General Reiis Invadator’s infinite experience and ability shone through defending his spinning Saber slash and counter attacking before he could land.

Raising her darksaber up to meet his blade on its trajectory and ducking underneath the diagonal blow she counters, her speed of movement as she positions herself closer to him was like a blur to the Catharian, he had wondered perhaps he was seeing things as she moved from a crouching position in front of him to suddenly beside him before he could spin the rest of the rotation and put his foot to the ground even while moving at the increased speed.

Appearing as a shadowed blur she passed to his left shoulder and he momentarily loses sight of the General but then suddenly feels a strike against his back that forces him out of mid-air and downwards sharply he lands against the hard dust covered floor of the arena with his face facing the general’s feet. Knowing the dangerous position he is currently in Terrogate immediately rolls out of the range of a possible follow up kick or sabre strike and positions up into the crouched Ataru pre-attack stance once more, left hand on the ground and right hand holding his sabre, close to his body but raised, his feline eyes looking directly at his opponent.

For a fraction of a second internally taking stock of the exchange his right shoulder and his back both hurt but still, as far as he could tell were functioning with the full range he needed to participate in the fight. He was lucky, the General could have killed him in that moment if she so wished it.

The Apprentice snarls, allowing the anger and newly acquired pain to fuel his resolve, the energy of the darkside filling his body, rising like a floodwater inside of him. Half his face now covered in dust and he tastes blood in his mouth. He is still in close quarters with the General, and as his force powers are quite weak they don’t last long at all but he needs to keep what little edge he may have in this bout. He is determined to give everything he has to this duel before he she puts him down. His Master the Iron Gauntlet of Tollere and indeed Lord Vexx would expect and accept nothing less of his absolute best if he wished to continue under their tutelage.

Pulling the force deep into his core Terrogate then explodes into action, from his crouched and coiled position his every fiber heightened with the dark side of the force he leaps towards the General using Force Valor to exponentially speed up his body movements. Turning his naturally increased speed and agile physical abilities to a whirling blur and he roars loudly with the exertion of his movement. Leaping and twisting forwards Terrogate gets his body horizontal and spinning through the the air with his saber raised in front of his head held with both hands and blade at an open angel executing a spinning cork screw type attack at the General. His crimson saber twirling in a rotational circle motion from his targets neck to groin as he flicks his saber on and off several times to distort the visible solid circle that Reiis Invadator may be able to track due to the increased speed of the attack.

She watched Lord Grievance lighting one of his lightsabers and begin to move slowly. Then Amaya took one of the lightsabers from her belt and opened it, more precisely the lightsaber from her right hand. She walked towards him until there was only a distance of 3 meters between them, then she could imitate his movement so that she could analyze her opponent.

She had visualized in her head the movements she was going to make in order to attack him. After she did this, she concentrated on the moment she was in, using the Force ... she approached him by rotating her lightsaber counterclockwise, but holding the lightsaber to the side, then she opened the lightsaber from her left hand, rotating it counterclockwise but this time in front of her, so that at the second rotation to point it to the right hand of Lord Grievance.

Fortunately for Terrogate, he is quick to roll out of the way, putting him out of striking range before Invadator could swipe at him. She takes an instinctive step back, reassessing her opponent. For one, she was surprised that the blow had made contact, and admittedly a bit concerned, as she had promised a certain Kaleesh cyborgs that she wouldn't kill anyone. Fortunately, though, the blow had been stopped from dealing greater damage by an apparent shield surrounding Terrogate. She studied him for a moment, both to see how damaged her was and to plan her next strategy. Had he intentionally let the blow land due to his shield? Was this a feint to trick her into overconfidence? Her gaze meets his, but for now -- she cannot answer her questions.

He was crouched not far away, saber at the ready, and Invadator raised her saber to match, again raising it midway horizontally. This time, however, she was using a two-handed grip with the blade pointed to her left. "I sense great determination in you, Terrogate," she says, speaking up for the first time since she'd greeted him. "Great resolve and strength...great rage. You did very well going to Lord Vexx...he'll teach you exactly what you need."

She paused, and he leaped towards her in a truly impressive display of agility as he hurled himself into the air, spinning almost horizontally. She really hadn't been expecting this, but time was of the essence. With a burst of telekinesis, The General dashed to his left where his saber did not reach, but she blocked herself from leaping too far away. Telekinetically reversing her momentum just after the threat of Terrogate's spinning saber had passed, she dodged back toward him, swinging her saber with a two-handed upward slash so that it would catch him at the hip and, perhaps were it not for the shield, cleave him directly in two.

The Krigsbefallaf is already analyzing Amaya the moment she steps into the arena, evaluating her by way of raw warrior’s skill alone and using nothing of the Force to tell him things about his young opponent. She carries herself with confidence, though he can sense her excitement; anxiety.

He isn’t really surprised when she decides to ignite both of her lightsabers as she closes the distance between them. He has been in duels before where his opponent somehow feels safer dual-wielding against him. Perhaps they feel a little more equal with the knowledge that he can become an overwhelming whirlwind of strobing plasma on a whim. Not really a whim though. Vexx simply does not abide by whims. He is too calculating for it; too precise.

He continues to circle, waiting for her to strike. As if to goad her into doing so, he demonstrates a quick Makashi flourish, his footwork rivaling that of a dancer as his lightsaber seems to move through the traditional salute and midair “X” motion with a mind all its own.

The Krigsbefallaf watches from his lofty perch as Karros enters the arena. His amber eyes follow him in a solid stare, never blinking in spite of the dust-laden wind doing its best to dry them out at the very least. Despite its best efforts, it doesn’t seem to bother him.

He sees Karros taking in every detail of the arena. If he can take in every detail of an ongoing battle and see every possible outcome of any given move, he will be well on his way. There is a low growl as Vexx suddenly launches himself down from the stands, descending on the sand below and landing in a low crouch, a cloud of dusty sand rising on impact.

“Now we fight,” the cyborg replies, “Show me what you know. And fear not. Any actions, even if they would be lethal to you in a real duel, will not prove fatal here.”

Tag: @Karros Zaruiel
Karros watched Lord Vexx leapt from his position, landing on his feet in a crouch, a ring of dust lifting in a low cloud as a result of the impact of landing. He hears the Steel Asura tell him to demonstrate what he knew, and to not worry about potentially lethal actions.

Karros remembered the Trial of Blood during the Kaggath, how Lord Vexx had simultaneously used four lightsabers. It was an impressive demonstration of his capabilities on melee combat. Karros recognized that it would be suicidal to attempt to go head-to-head against those kinds of odds, even with his rehabilitation complete. The head-long charges he had made during his first duels during his Task had proven that, even factoring in his abysmal capabilities in the force.

He thought back to Lord Vexx's statement. “Show me what you know." So he wanted a demonstration of Karros' preferred tactics? Very well. Karros imagined it would give the Steel Asura a good baseline of where the lesson would go.

Karros quickly re-exmained the scene in front of him. Lord Vexx, still crouched in his landing position a little over 2 yards away from where Karros was standing. He had not yet drawn his lightsabers. The cloud of dust was still swirling in the air from the impact. Karros remembered discussion he previously had with Lord Vexx, how while they talked his respiratory would act up. He remembered how in the Kaggath Lord Kain exploited the Steel Asura's biological components in order to attack him. Karros would make use of this knowledge.

Focusing on Lord Vexx and the spot in front of him Karros throw out both of his hands, channeling the Force through both. With his cybernetic left hand he used Force Push to push the cloud of dust and hopefully stir up more dust towards Lord Vexx's lowered face and his respirator. With his organic right hand Karros also used Force Push at the same time, but instead he focused it to a small point the size of a fingernail, aimed at Lord Vexx's left eye. That Force Push would hopefully exert the same amount of pressure as being poked hard in the eye with a finger.

As soon as he had fired off both Force Pushes, Karros drew both of his sabers in both hands, but did not yet ignite them. He then sprinted to his right, (Lord Vexx's left) intending to dive for cover behind the nearest mound of rubble.

Vexx purposely refrains from drawing his blades for the moment. He has been in enough duels in which his skill, whether exhibited or merely perceived, tends to stall out his opponents. Though he is extremely skilled in overwhelming his foes in a variety of ways in combat, he tries to avoid even implying that at the start of a duel.

He is pleased to find Karros wastes no time in striking first, though he is a bit annoyed when the attack comes through the Force. His annoyance is not because Karros has done anything wrong; it is just simply the way he is. The Force used in a fight will always annoy him to some degree, but at least Karros being unafraid to attack him is progress. It is also not lost to the cyborg that Karros is attempting to exploit legitimate weaknesses.

The Force push manipulating the airborne dust isn’t terribly bothersome and Vexx merely rises to his full height to avoid sucking more irritating particles into his respirator than is necessary. He still suffers a brief cough for his efforts, but nothing terribly off-putting. The sudden pressure to his eye, however, is another story.

An irritated growl is the first indicator that he has felt the precise Force push. He cannot deny that he is impressed by the level
of precision and also Karros’s insight to even come up with such a strike. Though the Krigsbefallaf favors the traditionally direct ways of the warrior, he is pleased to learn that his Cruor student indeed adheres to his chosen path as an assassin.

As he is considering all of this, he calls upon his own Force Resistance to avoid further damage to his eye. He also moves to take himself out of the targeted range, taking all of his height almost to the ground once again in a low lunge, drawing and igniting a single blade in the amount of time it takes him to close the distance between himself and Karros, where he feints a strike toward the Concierge’s legs.

Seeing him move his lightsaber in X, she jumped back, spinning when she was in the air and then landing farther away from him, with her right foot back, putting her weight on it. She thought about what she could do in the next few seconds to attack him.

*because now she was at a greater distance from him, she could think more carefully without risking being attacked by him immediately *

She closed her lightsaber from her left hand so she could use the Force to try to push him, with this she hoped to make him lose his balance and then she would run towards him to advance so that she could jump and try to attack him when she was still in the air.

The fact that Amaya attempts a strike through the Force comes as no surprise to the cybernetic Sith Lord. He comes from a long history of opponents attempting to wear him down through the Force before they try closing in with a blade. Years ago, this would have annoyed the hell out of him, but he has since learned to appreciate—and sometimes exploit—this frequent method of attack.

As the blast of kinetic energy barrels toward him, Vexx springs like a leaping gundark with enough power in his jump to launch him clear of being caught by her Force-push. He turns himself in midair to hit the arena wall feet first, anchoring his talons with a slight quaking and crumbling of the stone. From his position hanging sideways on the arena wall, he glowers down at Amaya, silently challenging her to try again.

Armed with but a single Kaleesh lig sword, the Krigsbefallaf of House Cruor enters the dueling arena, ready to train Dread Knight Omegon in what is—in his opinion—a very useful form of lightsaber combat. Makashi has been his go-to form for years and his passion for it runs deep. To find another so willing to learn it is truly appreciated by Grievance Vexx.

He waits patiently for his student to arrive; patient, but simultaneously eager to begin. If Omegon is as studious as he appears to be, he may learn quickly, however, Makashi isn’t necessarily a simplistic form. It is very precise and a misstep in precision can very well lead to loss of life or limb. He hopes the Zabrak will understand this readily.

The arena is dark except for the bluish light of the moon. Vexx craves the sound of his old weapons ringing out in the stillness of the night as they contend with each other. It will do his cold heart good.

The weapon rolled in Omegon’s palm, and he grimaced, feeling the weight, balance, and length of the blade. He was using a weapon he was unfamiliar with, against an opponent who he had never seen fight. The Krigsbefallaf was legendary in melee combat, he knew that much, and he was unsure of whether he would even make it out alive.

No. A dread knight did not think of defeat, he reminded himself. He planned only for victory, and how to achieve it. He pushed the thoughts of the shortness of the blade, of its lack of weight and his lack of experience with it out of his mind. It may be light, but that would make it fast. It may be shorter than what he was used to, but that would grant him more killing capability at close ranges. He rolled his shoulders, the servos in his armor moving silently, and his shoulders flexing beneath his pauldrons.

He would make a good showing of himself, and of his house. He would play one level higher, and demonstrate the values of Dreadwar. He would find success, however necessary.

He raised the blade in his right hand, pointing it forward and looking along its edge, and strode into the arena with confidence, his mind purged of weakness and full of ideas, tricks, and ploys. “Well, Lord Vexx. Shall we begin?” He spoke the words almost playfully, hoping the Lord would make the first move and cross the 7 meter distance he had left between them.

IC- Lord Grievance Vexx

Dueling Arena

Grievance Vexx does not need the Force to tell him of Omegon’s apprehensions regarding the weapon he has been given for this duel. His well-trained eyes can see the subtle clues of discomfort; the faint lines of worry hardening the knight’s eyes. This is good. If there is one thing the Krigsbefallaf cannot stand, it is arrogance and overconfidence. Even as the Dread Knight speaks, Vexx knows he is concerned beneath the surface. And so he should be.

“You tell me,” he replies with just a touch of humor in his tone, “This training is to test your readiness; not mine.”

Omegon may find himself disappointed on the hope that Vexx might attack first. The chances are slim to nonexistent when it comes to the cybernetic Sith Lord. He is an unending well of patience in a fight, content to circle and observe indefinitely until his opponent craves action and makes the first move. Even so, Omegon will hopefully be able to divide his attention and keep himself out of harm’s way while still observing and gaining insight to the skill Vexx will demonstrate as the duel unfolds.

Amaya watched the movements that Lord Grievance made, she examined them very carefully until he anchored himself to one of the walls of the arena.
She looked at him, thinking for a few seconds what her next step might be...

She thought of several ways she could attack him, but none of them seemed good enough to her, at least that's what she thought...

She closed her lightsaber from her left hand and leaned back so that she could "throw" her lightsaber toward Lord Grievance to make him come down from there.

Internally, Omegon cursed. Typically, it was his strategy to allow his opponent to strike first, and watch for their technique and mistakes. But here, Lord Vexx seemed determined to take that role, and it was Omegon’s job to demonstrate his abilities. He couldn’t afford to wait, and, remembering his training with Lady Invadator, he realized he would have to make the first move.

But it would not be a foolish or ill-planned move. If he was to strike, he would strike with precision, with skill, and with cunning. He had to make an impression after all, didn’t he? He knew the Krigsbefallaf thought his armor would slow him down, and he would use that to his advantage. In reality, the armor allowed him to not only move as fast as he would without it, but even faster, it’s servos and motors speeding up his movement and reaction times. But he wasn’t going to tell Lord Vexx that; no need to ruin a perfectly good surprise, after all.

And so, breathing deeply, Omegon calmed his mind, silently switched off his armor’s powered elements with a flick of his mind, and then spoke. “Well then, let’s hope I’m ready, shall we?” His sword flashed up in a swift salute, and then he leapt forward.

He felt his armor pulling him downward, but he didn’t let it discourage him. Instead, he pushed forward, his feet pounding craters into the sand and his blade held in a loose and flexible grip. His right hand thrust forward, his fingers forming a claw as he tore at the ground beneath the Sith Lord’s left foot with telekinesis, while simultaneously pushing off with his own left foot to move to his left, traveling almost perpendicular to the ground and placing himself opposite to the Krigsbefallaf’s sword arm.

His own blade lashed out, swift and precise, aiming to stab up and into his opponent’s rib cage, between a pair of armor plates. If he failed, he knew his momentum would keep him moving, hopefully carrying him out of reach and giving him time to recover before Lord Vexx could recover.

The reptilian eyes of the Kaleesh Krigsbefallaf follow Amaya, his piercing gaze challenging her to bring him her best shot. He is a bit surprised that she opts to throw her lightsaber at him. This could end very badly for her were he a true opponent rather than a teacher in this situation. With an unhurried gesture of his hand, her lightsaber behaves like a boomerang and changes its path to come straight at her, its blade igniting on the way.

“Impress me, Amaya Masslat,” he grumbles, “So far I am only mildly surprised.”

As for Vexx, he remains casually where he is, chilling like a lizard on a terra cotta roof, but Amaya will not have to worry long about how to get him to come back down. He has already made that decision on his own and she had better be fast on her feet, not just to avoid her own lightsaber coming back at her ignited, but now she will have to make sure she is quick to dodge the three-hundred-pound cyborg as well, leaping down as though his intent truly is to land on her and crush her under his talons.
