THE INTERIOR OF THE SANCTUM OF THE VEIL
Formerly the Supreme Prophet Kadann's hidden retreat, the Sanctum of the Veil was a vast and cavernous labyrinth of rooms and common areas on all different levels. If one were to take the hallways branching off from either side of the great entry hall where High Priestess Hesper's cathedra dais was, the left-hand hallway would lead to the barracks, kitchens, and the commons― a spacious room with a long table suited to dining, drinking, playing games, and commiserating― this was the wing designated to all the priestess' followers. The right-hand hallway lead to the High Priestess' personal chambers, a handful of studies, and empty rooms that seemed to be for any use one could think of using an empty room for.
All throughout the Sanctum were deep black larmalstone floors, and rough-hewn stone walls and columns. The architecture was simple, almost archaic, but elegant in a plain, uncomplicated manner. In the hallways hung phthalo green tapestries woven with copper thread depicting the four-pointed Hesperian sigil, a modified version of the ancient symbol for Bogan. There was ivy hanging from some walls, and ferns sprouting from some corners. It was a very natural space, though one could feel the ominous pulsations of the dark side nexus that enveloped the entirety of the stronghold. It seeped in through every crack and crevice, twisting the minds of those unworthy, yet feeling like a wellspring of strength and fortitude for those who served the darkness.
The barracks themselves were a series of identical rooms, each with vaulted ceilings, a large bed, an armoire, a desk and a chair, wall sconces for torches, and a hearth a fire could be lit in. At the end of the barracks hall was what appeared to be a shared bathhouse, with separate sides for men (right side) and women (left side).
Being that the High Priestess' chambers are off-limits to all, the interior of her rooms are unknown.
Other floors and levels of the Sanctum of the Veil included but were not limited to small studies, rooftop terraces, training areas, pantries, storerooms, great halls, libraries, courtyards, and more.
