Shop Droid Shop

Dorrian sat quietly in his office, going over the latest list of acquired parts and droids, salvage and parts. It was an impressive list to be sure and he would have to thank his salvage team with a nice bonus, despite several key pieces being ruined in an “impressive getaway”. He stretched and began a last minute look over everything to be sure all was in place before opening. It wasn't the most grandiose shop, but it was sufficient. A large glass storefront let in plenty of natural light and afforded some spectacular views of the Dantooine plains. Overstuffed black chairs and couches surrounded the white and gray patterned tables in the waiting room. Imperial banners hung to the sides of the main windows, stretching toward the vaulted ceiling, their bold colors contrasting the pale walls.

Protocol, astromech and guard droids roamed the office and grounds offering assistance to all those that arrived. Just to the side of the main office was the salvage yard where all manner of odd part and piece could be discovered as it was a random collection that changed frequently. Behind storefront was a large warehouse that housed a sizable selection of droids and spare parts for them.

The alarm dinged indicating a customer had arrived. Dorrian smiled to himself before heading out of his office and out to the counter, watching as a well-mannered protocol droid came out from a side door to greet the customer.

“Greetings and welcome to Shadowsun and Imperios Enterprises.” Beamed the droid. “I am D-4L1 and I welcome you to a droid and salvage extravaganza. How may I be of assistance?”

The Devaronian had a need. When he'd come here, he'd left his crew behind on purpose. The Sith homeworld wasn't the place for non-Force sensitives. He was looking through bins of photoreceptors, control arms and other various parts. He'd thought he wouldn't need any help, but then the droid approached.

"Hm? Oh, uh... As a matter of fact, yes. My trip here was difficult. Do you think an astromech or a protocol droid would be best for a copilot?"

{D-4L1}

"If you are looking for rapid calculations and accurate hyperspace jumps I would suggest an astromech for you, Sir. Were you looking for a capable co-pilot to help with flight, navigation, and general piloting duties, including ship operations, should you not be there, I would recommend a modified protocol unit or a specialty piloting unit." D-4L1 shuffled slowly towards the Darth as he spoke, bringing a datapad with him.

"I have a compiled list of immediately available droids that would suit your needs perfectly or you may submit any design you wish and we will get to work immediately on your request. We are also fully capable of customizing any model you choose, including upgraded servos, receptors, logic matrix, and memory core. Custom designs do take a bit longer to process as the materials may not be readily available unless supplied by the purchaser." D-4L1 extended the datapad toward Darth Kratos to allow him to input his selection.

"Oh, I'm not a full Darth, yet. I just arrived. Call me Rayne." He took the pad offered and scrolled through the offerings. "To be honest, my smugglers eye knows these things, but as a price tag. I don't 'design droids.'" He saw a design he was familiar with. An L3 droid. "Lando Calrissian, the Old Republic General, had a troublesome version of this, didn't he?"
