The Exiled: 149 ABY

LQnpJEJ.jpg

The year is 149 ABY. The New Galactic Empire has held power over the Federation Triumvirate for just over two years. For all intents and purposes, it holds absolute power, only contested by the schisming Alliance - led by Mariasiah Fel and Gar Stazi. The Jedi Order, led by K’Kruhk, has all but broken away, somewhat at odds with the Alliance leadership, and further at odds with the Jedi Order Empress Volshe houses beneath her banner. The Neutrality Pact has all but dissolved, the Empire swallowing the majority, offering stability to the worlds contained within.

The New Galactic Empire operates in the majority of the known Galaxy, now, with Imperial Knights and Inquisitorius alike, Volshe’s vision to allow the Jedi and Sith to exist in some form of discordant harmony - a task that threatens to fail, now that the Jedi have taken their own place on the Galactic stage. There is an enormous rift that has formed, friendships lost, betrayal commonplace, and the Jedi philosophy tarnished.

The new Council, in its infancy, has gone so far as to accuse the Imperial-aligned Jedi as lost. Exiled. There are even rumours that the Empress, so benevolent in her rule, has allowed the Sith to exist as she herself is one. That the Jedi may face a purge, that she has tempted them into her lair with false assurances.

But this game is not merely centred around these sorts of scandalous Galactic politics, though they may affect any player characters.

There is a crisis on Naboo, just as there is a different sort of crisis between the Jedi and Alliance. While those who honour the Republic are wrapped in schemes and diplomacy, the Empire faces what seems to be a violent neurological disease. The first victim was an officer named Aira, who was found in a corridor screaming, not remembering who she was.

Now there are reports spanning the surface of Naboo, even reaching to Enarc and Karlinus. The first report has arrived from Corellia and Hutt Space. Amnesia, hallucinations, fever - the symptoms all follow a similar pattern. It could perhaps be declared a pandemic, but the Empire has not wished to make such publicly known.

Perhaps this crisis will remain isolated to Imperial-allied worlds...but it is unlikely.

Members of the Triumvirate, Imperials and citizens of the Galaxy, Force-users of any Order. There is chaos afoot, and survival depends on you.

Factions

The New Galactic Empire (NGE):

(Allied with the Febrayasi, also splintered versions of the Acolytes of Darkness, One Sith, and Jedi, forming the Imperial Knights and Lords of Shadow - known as Shadow Guards)

Upon Krayt’s defeat, this opportunistic band of magocratic, Galactic Empire purists established themselves, rising from the Unknown Regions to fill the growing vacuum with astounding speed. They adopted many aspects of the Fel Empire, fusing it into a ruthless authoritarian regime that commanded both respect and great power. They believe in Order, Justice, and Peace above all else.

Many have led the faction as its ideologies continued to garner support from worlds spanning the Galaxy, eventually resulting in it reaching the zenith of the current clime - the ruling party, the office of Supreme Chancellor...absolute power seems inevitable.

They are currently led by the Empress Volshe, a mysterious and oddly benevolent woman who rose to power upon the death of the former Emperor Sinreb Irth in the Senate bombings.

The Alliance to Preserve the Republic (Rebellion):
(Allied with the Jedi factions the Guardians of Light and the New Jedi Trials)

Led currently by Mariasiah Fel and Gar Stazi.

The Republic has always stood as a beacon of freedom and democracy throughout the Galaxy. However, it is a constant struggle to maintain the proper balance between maintaining order in a galaxy fractured by disparate interests, and the freedom of its citizens. To them, there are always those who would trample on the free rights of sentients; who would bring Order to the galaxy at the cost of democracy.

It is their mission, their duty, to stand against those forces of darkness. To ensure that oppression never again rules over freedom. Now they stand at the ready to face the threats to the Galactic citizens and their freedom, to restore the Republic in all its Glory...and they are prepared for whatever it may take.

The Jedi Order
(Allied somewhat with the Alliance, other Jedi factions - barring the NGE Jedi Order)

Led by K’Kruhk, currrently.

Long have the Jedi served the Galaxy as sentinels of peace and equality. Now, they have broken free from the bonds of the political and began as another Order, separate from the bureaucratic. The Order is intended to reclaim the history and the true nature of the Jedi. Ones who will not stand by during times of darkness, bickering, and ones who will not let Sith or those who abuse the Force exist in any great number.

Their mission is to rise again to prominence, to the esteemed position the Jedi Order once held as allies to the Republic, and to shift the tides of the Force from Empress Volshe’s definition of balance to true balance. A Galaxy bathed in Light, not warring between Light and Dark.

The New Sith Order
(Allied with the Dominion of Darkness, and rogue Sith)

The remnants of Krayt's New Sith Order, left scattered across the Outer Rim Territories, have received an influx of support from Sith emerging from a dominion of darkness within the Unknown Regions. Ostensibly led by the mad Darth Malkuth and savage Darth Nihl, it is said they are merely the puppets of a mysterious benefactor who desires to reshape the One Sith into a philosophically purer fiefdom.

The True Sith (Unplayable, GM Faction)

Descendants of an ancient Sith Empire that coasted the stars before antiquity, the True Sith fled the calamitous collapse of their Infinite Empire into the Unknown Regions nearly 30,000 years ago, abandoning their brethren on Korriban. But their immortal rulers have endured, and Darth Dreadwar the Magnificent, Emperor of Zakuul and Dark Lord of the Sith, is leading inroads into known space for the first time in millennia.

Other Factions are welcome, with explicit prior approval.

Name: Mathias Lorson (Age 23)
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Home Planet: Coruscant
Faction Affiliation: New Galactic Empire
Position/Title: LCDR (Lieutenant Commander)
Appearance (eyes, hair, etc): Black hair (Short, combed from left to right), Blue eyes, clean shaven
Height/Build: 6'2", average build.

Extras -
Clothing: Imperial Uniform
Weapon(s): DC-17 Blaster Pistol
Ships/Transportation: Pride of Dantooine

Skills -
Languages: Basic
Non-Force Strengths: Amateur Strategist, Starship Designer, Amateur Shooter
Non-Force Weaknesses: Socially Awkward, Below Average Strength, No Liquor Tolerance

Personality: Mathias is an introvert, preferring to spend time along with his thoughts over spending time with others. Though if he must, he will spend time with others. He is also quite headstrong when it comes to topics he is confident he is well-versed in, being strategy and starships. He also makes it a point to never stand out too much, as he isn't one for gaining attention to himself.
Bio: Born in the Upper Levels of Coruscant, Mathias lived a quite posh life, though without a mother, as she died due to complications while in labor, leaving his father, August Lorson, to raise him on his own. His father is a supplier of materials to several shipyards, including Kuat Drive Yards, although his father provides a laughable amount to the ship-building behemoth. It was through his fathers business dealings, that Mathias gained an interest in starships at a young age. Anything from luxury cruise yachts to warships. In his free time, Mathias would his hours designing new types of ships, though each of them had inherently terrible flaws in them, making each of them unfit for flight. Eventually, Mathias' focus began to stray from standard cruise vessels and towards warships. This sparked his desire to learn about strategy, in which at this time, his father enrolled him at the Imperial Academy on Coruscant. It was during his time at the Academy, that Mathias began to learn how to shoot, but focused mainly on his studies, mainly on warship combat and strategy. It was also during this time, that Mathias learned more about how such vessels functioned, learning how to create more cohesive designs. Several years at the Academy later, Mathias graduated as an Ensign within the ranks of the Imperial Navy. Though his father thought that his son could do better and pulled a few strings, obtaining Mathias a few gratuitous (not to mention unwanted) promotions and a command position onboard a laughably old vessel, The Pride of Dantooine, a Clone Wars Era Aqruitens-Class Light Cruiser stationed in the Corellian Sector as a patrol vessel. His father meant well, but his influence was definitely not all it cracked up to be, especially when all it got him was a ship older than his grandfather. Mathias currently spends his time patrolling the space around the Corellian Sector, and in his off time, designing a ship he hopes to replace the ancient bucket of bolts he was originally assigned to.

Name: Terec Ansaroth
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 38
Home Planet: Kuat
Faction Affiliation: New Galactic Empire
Position/Title: Captain, Imperial Navy
Appearance: short neat black hair, green eyes, clean shaven with sunken cheeks
Height/Build: 6’0 tall, average build

Extras -
Clothing: Standard Imperial Navy Uniform, spotless
Weapon(s): Imperial Service Pistol (never fired)
Ships/Transportation: Commands the Pellaeon Class Star Destroyer ‘ISD Imperator’
Nune-Class Shuttle as personal transport

Skills -
Languages: Basic
Non-Force Strengths: Highly Intelligent, keen strategist, loyal, cool headed, excellent communicator, politically astute
Non-Force Weaknesses: Elitist, poor shot with a blaster, overconfident

Personality: Terec believes himself to be a model imperial officer. He believes in discipline and efficiency above all else, and is deeply loyal to the imperial cause. He comes across as rather cold and reserved, rarely found speaking casually with anyone under his command. But in battle he is calm and cool headed, able to confidently lead those under his command, even if he would not be seen as the most popular commander. He also has a sarcastic edge, and can be short tempered with those who frustrate him. He also harbours somewhat of a mistrust of non-humans, believing that human officers are more reliable, efficient, loyal, and trustworthy.

Bio:
Terec Ansaroth was born on the planet Kuat into a minor aristocratic family, and from an early age was instilled with the belief in the Human High Culture and the values of an aristocratic system, as well as an appreciation for the Imperial style of Government. He was also tutored in politics during his youth, as his parents believed it best. From an early age he aspired to become a naval officer, as both his father, grandfather, and great grandfather had done. “The Navy is in our blood.”, is what Terec normally says when asked about his family. He enrolled in the Naval Academy as soon as he was of age, and excelled whilst he was there, though his firearms instructor commented several times that it was a good thing Terec didn’t come from a family of army officers. He devoted his time to studying the history and schools of thought surrounding naval warfare, and graduated with distinction, rising through the ranks of the imperial navy to be eventually handed command of his own Star Destroyer, the ISD Imperator. He did have time for some other pursuits, and has a wife and two children on Kuat, who by his own admission he ‘rarely sees’, and even more rarely discusses, viewing his marriage more as a duty to help continue the family line rather than born of love.

Personality:
A bit gruff on the outside but once you get to know him you wouldn’t want anyone else at your side whether it be in the dining hall on Korriban or charging into battle on the surface of Malachor, a powerful and brutal warrior, and a true seeker of the power of the dark side

Biography:
Born to abusive parents on Apatros, a tiny chunk of rock in the outer rim, Palzivar was forced into working the mines at a young age. He quickly gained strength and could sometimes predict things before they happened, but wasn’t sure why. In the hours he wasn’t working the cortosis mines he was in the books learning and expanding his mind in the same amount the mines expanded his physical strength and prowess, in many drunken bar fights he learned that power would often end the fight faster than anything else, which is why when he was discovered on the planet, he quickly chose Djem So as his lightsaber form and the path of the warrior.
One night after winning a lucky game of Pazaak he was assaulted by three Republic officers in pure darkness. Even in complete darkness, he could see the vibroblades clear as on a bright sunny day, so when it was thrust towards his stomach he quickly flipped it around and into the officer who wielded it. The other officers tried to escape but we're quickly dispatched by the huge man. He then had to flee his Homeworld which brought him into military service. He quickly rose through the ranks and Drew the attention of the Sith he served, mainly for his abilities in combat and his many unexplainable feats which allowed him to enroll in the academy on Korriban. At first he struggled in the academy but after a time he truly came into his own and learned to use his anger and hatred of his parents to fuel the dark side within him and destroy those who stood in the way of his goals.
