Casual Training Center: Dueling and Force use

IC: Urizen

Dueling Arena

Urizen watched again as steam raised off the armored leg he had managed to hit with his saber, after hearing the sound of ‘hissing’ had disappeared notifying him that the metal cooled down.

Urizen saw Lord Vexx’s move unfold in its entirely and was thankful he had made the right choice of distancing himself or he could have been on the end of painful beating, which ended with his opponent in a crouched position, the smell of burnt metal filled the air.

Lord Vexx then spoke as the smell of burnt metal filled the room and Urizen’s nose, "Nicely done, Shadow Knight, you are learning to use the push of the dance to your advantage. But with every push, a pull will soon come after. What shall you do with that? "

Urizen heard the compliment sent his way from Lord Vexx, along with the coughing fit and responded, “thank you my Lord, you honour me with the compliment, especially coming from such a renowned warrior and of course my Lord, your right there's always a pull after a push”

Urizen watched as Lord Vexx raised his hand in preparation for something and in response, Urizen gritted his teeth as he felt an invisible force wrap around him and pull him towards Lord Vexx’s open awaiting hand, pointed claws poised to stab at his chest, from the looks of it.

Urizen angled his body on his right, making sure that it was close to the floor and stabbed his lightsaber into the floor to hopefully slow down his opponents’ pull on him, the sound of plasma scrapping against the floor was almost deafening for Urizen, but he persevered none the less, quitting wasn’t part of his vocabulary, even when his hand hurt from holding his lightsabers handle so tightly, gritting his teeth even tighter to ease up the pain.

Urizen then looked around the room and spotted a spear like weapon on one of the walls, but couldn’t tell what it was exactly, not that he cared right now and raised his own hand and used the force to grab the weapon and slowly moved it in position, as he neared closer to Lord Vexx.

Urizen then swung his free hand to his right, attempting to fire the weapon in Lord Vexx’s direction, towards his crouched form, hopefully disrupting his opponent's’ concentration and free him.

IC: Dread Knight Omegon

Dueling Arena

The crashing impact of Grievance’s kick sent pain lancing through Omegon’s leg, and yet all of it was offset by the surge of satisfaction Omegon felt as his fist impacted with a metallic crunch on the Krigsbefallaf’s knee. He would likely require some bacta, and if things were doing particularly poorly, some cybernetic tinkering on the tendons and joint.

His shoulder impacted on the ground with a thud, the noise softened by the sand, and as grievance leapt over him, Omegon clenched his fists, roaring in pain as he tensed every muscle in his body and hurled himself sideways in an attempt to roll across the sand, away from Vexx’s leap and hopefully out of the way from the Sith Lord’s strike.

Rolling to a stop, Omegon began to rise, favoring his left leg and using his blade to help himself rise. Stabbing the traditional Kaleesh sword into the ground, he levered himself to his feet, and lifted the sword into a defensive stance, his eyes tired but blazing with determination behind his visor.

IC: Tobbi Airskipper

Anger.

Frustration.

Agitation.

Tobbi Airskipper had become quiet, eerily quiet. It was uncharacteristic of Tobbi to stay so silent during a duel. He usually loved these affairs. As the heat and intimacy of battle exposed the true souls housed within the vessels that we mortals of the galaxy called bodies.
Fighters were supposed to understand each other more than lovers.

Fighters were supposed to understand that by unleashing everything they had in battle, that only true understanding could blossom.

So what was this?

Lord Vexx dodged Tobbi’s over and over.

Again and again.

Left, right, center, above, and below. There seemed to be nothing that Tobbi could do. But the biggest question in Tobbi’s mind was why.

Why was Lord Vexx doing this? What lesson did he hope to impart? Tobbi couldn't understand this.

And this made Tobbi question everything. Did he step out of the frying pan and into the fire? Was Tobbi exchanging one hell for another?
“Lord Vexx!”

Tobbi yawped with all of his being.

“Show me pain so I can transform it into purpose. Show me hatred so I can turn it into motivation.”

As Tobbi bellowed once more, he launched off the wall and summoned force shock: wracking energy and rushed past lord Vexx intending to wrap the cybernetic Kaleesh in a lasso of force lighting.

Tobbi needed to understand. What was his destiny?

Who was he here?

IC - Grievance Vexx

It has been a while since the Krigsbefallaf has had the opportunity to test the mettle of a potential new student, but today has brought him an exciting prospect. A Kaminoan, that peculiar bottle-necked species from one of the gloomiest and soggiest planets Vexx has ever ventured. This should be interesting.

"I am here, Death Apprentice Entei," he calls, putting forth a summons through the Force, "Let us see how much you know in the dance of the duelist."

He ignites his stark white blade and takes up a ready stance to await Entei's arrival. He already knows the apprentice has some experience with Form II and he is eager to see how far the hopeful one's knowledge extends.

The Kaminoan felt the call through the force and hears the words of the Lord loud and clear, he would be sure to do his best and if at all possible to not disappoint. Sheer terror gripped the apprentice first, then excitement. He could learn from one of the best of the Order. It was a gift he would not take for granted.

Entei made his way into the arena, dust kicking up behind him as he walked, it was a fast stride as his limbs were long. He soon came upon the imposing Lord Vexx, who’s saber was already ignited and was in a stance ready to duel.

“It appears there will be no formalities.” The Death Apprentice thought as he bowed the typical Makashi salute as a sign of respect then got into his stance. “Hail Lord Vexx!” Was the only words that uttered from his mouth. He had one curve hilted saber hung from his right hip while its twin sat in the left hand of the Kaminoan, not yet ignited but ready to be ignited at a moments notice.

Staring down the battlefield at his opponent whom was a Dark Councilor the tall alien knew he had no hope of winning but either way he would do his best, after all he hailed from a Legacy which was also in the Council, Lord Sedriss himself. He was eager to learn and thankful for the opportunity yet his mind never left the task at hand. He was ready to test his mettle.
