IC- Lord Grievance Vexx
Vassek III - Lair of Grievous

Vassek-3-TVE.png

Deep within his fortress lair, Grievance Vexx is brooding. Someone has stirred his wrath. How dare they! And woe to the offender who has dared to do such a thing. Something rare has been stolen from his lair--a handful of ghostfire crystals--ones he had hoped to one day fashion into silent and translucent lightsabers. To say he is angry over the robbery is a gross understatement. He is furious!

The party responsible for the thievery is a pirate coalition from Wild Space. Faleen and Weequay species working for a cartel of Hutts. After viewing the holovid footage from his closed circuit cameras, Vexx has a sneaking suspicion they may have ties to someone he had encountered in the past during his final trial under Lord Draconis. Of course, he cannot be certain, but there is definitely cause for suspicion here.

"Why were the Magnaguards not deployed?" he demands of his droid doctor EV-A4-D.

main-qimg-52280e6c2edf769b8873d9f30ce01e0a.gif

"They were, Master," the antiquated EV unit replies, "When the alarms started going off, I went looking for them. They were deactivated in the southern sector."

"How?" Vexx asks incredulously.

"It seems the intruders were armed with ion blasters," A4-D answers, "And you know what ionized weaponry does to electronics and cybernetics."

"Yes," the Krigsbefallaf growls, recalling watching a holo-recording of one such incident involving his father and an army of Gungans, "They will pay. No one sets foot in this fortress without my permission, let alone set foot in here and steal from me."

"Ooooh, you're gonna kill 'em, aren't you?" the droid doctor laughs giddily.

EV-A4-D_I.jpg

"Something like that," Vexx grumbles, stomping into his war room where a holotable dominates the center, "Doctor, fire up the Coup De Grâce. In the meantime, I will be contacting a fellow Cruorite whom I think could use a little excitement."

"Yes, Master."

Immediately thereafter, the Dark Lord opens up a comlink communication with Death Apprentice Nekrosis. While this one is not apprenticed to the Krigsbefallaf, Vexx knows him fairly well and he knows the aspiring Sith assassin has been hungering for a test of his skills.

"Greetings, Death Apprentice Nekrosis," the message will say, "If you are up for a mission, I have one for you. I am sending you the coordinates to Serreno. Meet me there at Castle Serreno and I will brief you on the details of this mission. I do not ask for charity. You will be rewarded for your services and though this is nothing I cannot take care of on my own, it behooves me to offer opportunity to a fellow Cruorite to put their skills to good use. Safe travels, brother. Live by the blade, die by the blade!"

He closes the comlink and, for the purpose of emphasizing the importance of this mission, he sends out a summons through the Force, calling to Nekrosis alone with the authority of a clap of thunder that will reach him wherever he may be. It will bring with it a sense of urgency, calling the apprentice to rise to action without delay.

Serreno - Castle Serreno
One standard day later...

Serenno-TCW.png

After charting a course through space to the Outer Rim Territories in the northeastern sector of the galaxy, Vexx had taken EV-A4-D and a pair of IG-100 Magnaguards with him in his Belbussa 41 starfighter. The blue swirls of hyperspace caressed the sleek vessel as it sliced its way across the distance like a razor blade.

"I haven't seen this side of space since the Clone Wars," A4-D comments, occupying the copilot seat of the Coup De Grâce, "Where will you be meeting this necrotic apprentice, Master?"

"Nekrosis," Vexx corrects the droid, though he knows the feigned mispronounciation is completely intentional on the mechanical medic's part.

"Eww...like...N-K Nekrosis?" A4-D cringes.

FB_IMG_1644884390177.jpg

"Ignoring that," the Krigsbefallaf growls, "In fact, I have been ignoring that successfully since he found his way to House Cruor. I was doing very well until you just had to remind me."

He shoots the droid doctor a most thankless glare. Clearly, the Jedi-killing droid that had been fashioned from his father's charred armor years ago is still a sore spot in Vexx’s history. Ordinarily, A4-D might have picked at this wound until his master lost his temper, but he decides to leave it alone for now. Instead, he takes in the sight of Serreno as they exit hyperspace.

"Hasn't changed a bit," he remarks, "I get the feeling I know where you're headed..."

tumblr_ogm6d8o4j11vrwj70o2_1280.jpg

Natives to Serreno dare not question the Krigsbefallaf as his starfighter touches down on the personal landing dock of the late Darth Tyranus. If anyone did dare question his right to be there, he would rip their tongue out and their throat wouldn't be far behind. He is already angry and that anger can be sensed by even the dimmest of creatures as he stomps into the palace of Count Dooku himself. The architecture and decor of the Serreno landmark is exquisite, radiating with wealth, class, and prestige. Grievance Vexx certainly doesn't fit the theme with his armor pitted and scarred by countless battles and his gait-- though commanding fear and respect--is more brutish than it is that of a dignitary.

Dooku_Throne_Room.png

He strides through the inner chambers of the castle to what once served as Dooku's throne room and shamelessly parks his Dark Lord self on the throne that dominates a raised platform centered in the vast hall. A green hue casts itself in the room through the stained transparisteel windows behind him, illuminated by Mantero, one of two moons orbiting the planet. Here, the Krigsbefallaf waits patiently for the arrival of Nekrosis, having left two Magnaguards at the door to escorts the apprentice safely to him once he touches down.

House Cruor Armory

Nekrosis was in the Armory when Lord Vexx sent his message. The sense of urgency nearly knocked him from his seat when it hit; it had startled him in a moment of deep concentration.

The Assassin was disassembling his saberstaff and adding a coupler so the unique weapon could be separated into two lightsabers if necessary. He was just testing the separation speed when a sudden sense of urgency struck him, accompanied by a holo message from the Krigsbefallaf himself. It didn't tell him much, other than Lord Vexx wanting to meet on Serreno and offering a reward in exchange for a mission. It didn't sound very urgent, but he could sense a familiar anger in the Force, no doubt sent by the Krigsbefallaf to spur the Apprentice to action.

After sending a quick confirmation reply, Nekrosis finished his work and placed the now two sabers on his belt instead of the sheath he used to carry it in on his back. With little to no information regarding what the mission might be, he packed all of his few weapons and outfits, just in case, then headed to the House shuttles. One standard rotation later and he was on Serreno, once the homeworld of none other than Count Dooku. Even the palace apparently was his home. Why would Grievance Vexx want to meet in such an important location?

Two Magnaguards were waiting to escort him inside, leading the Apprentice to a throne room where the Krigsbefallaf was waiting. Nekrosis knelt in respect to the much higher ranking Cruorite. "Hail Lord Vexx," he said in greeting. "I came as quickly as I could. And, I'm sure you're aware of my eagerness to prove as well as test my abilities. So tell me, what urgent mission requires my skills? Or rather… who do I get to kill?" He added the second question with a dark smile, his hands slightly twitching toward his lightsabers.

Serreno - Castle Serreno

The Krigsbefallaf can sense the presence of Nekrosis as the apprentice enters Serreno's atmosphere in the shuttle carrying him to his destiny. A tingle of excitement runs down the cyborg's semi-organic spine as he anticipates launching the young assassin into this mission. He loves to bear witness to a growing Sith's journey to power. Even more so, he loves having a role to play in helping one on his journey.

As Nekrosis enters the throne room of Castle Serreno flanked by two Magnaguards draped in Kaleesh battle cloaks, Vexx's smile cannot be visually detected, but one may sense it beyond the expressionless nightmarish faceplate. He rises from Count Dooku's throne and tromps down the steps of the raised platform to meet the Death Apprentice and inclines his head in a decidedly polite acceptance of his show off respect.

"Greetings, Death Apprentice Nekrosis," he replies, his towering shadow swallowing up the assassin kneeling at his feet, "Your urgency and eagerness is appreciated. It seems the fortress of my father has recently been a site for looting. Not much was lost, but what was lost from my inventory is precious, all the same. Seven ghostfire crystals I took great pains to obtain have been stolen from me. I could very easily visit my wrath upon the thieves and be done with it, but I would find pleasure in your assistance as I believe it would present a grand opportunity for you. As an assassin, this mission might be one to add to your resume, should you succeed. As I stated in my summons to you, your services shall be rewarded with more than just enemy blood and bragging rights, but we shall discuss this later, when you have successfully visited justice upon the offenders who violated my father's lair. Come, Death Apprentice."

The cyborg paces away from Nekrosis, returning to the platform of Dooku's throne and stepping up to a console that frames the elevated space on one side. He nods for the assassin to join him as he jabs at a few buttons, triggering a holomap of the Outer Rim Territories.

"I have reason to believe the thieves are pirates," he explains, pointing out locations as he speaks of them, "I have tracked them here to Serreno, but I highly doubt they have plans to stay here long. This is probably merely a pit stop to refuel, perhaps loot while they are here, and then they will likely slip into the Spurs of Celanon or the Hydian Way. I do not know how familiar you are with Serreno, but these are trade routes easily accessed from here. Doubtlessly, they will be looting ships in transit all along the way."

He shuts down the map and steps away from the console, moving off the elevated platform and down a dark corridor on the eastern end of the throne room, expecting Nekrosis to follow. A series of hallways and airlocks finally give way to a vast hangar in which an antique vessel awaits.

"A shuttle will not be sufficient transport for you to keep up with these pirates," he tells the apprentice, his gravelly voice echoing in the expanse of the hangar, "I am loaning you a refurbished antique. This is a Clone Wars era Punworcca 116-class interstellar sloop, better known as a solar sailor. It is rumored but unconfirmed that this one may have once belonged to Darth Tyranus, so it should go without saying, but I will be frank: if you damage this ship, I will damage your face. Clear?"

He circles the sloop, truly admiring and appreciating the old-fashioned Geonosian/Gree design. The vessel sports signs of wear and tear that has been repaired. One charred steak even looks suspiciously similar to damage a lightsaber might leave. Reason enough to believe this vessel could have belonged to Count Dooku at one time.

"I am sending a spec file to your datapad, but I would encourage you to do your own research before you pilot this craft," the Kaleesh warlord continues, "I have been watching you. You have proven yourself responsible in small things, willing to own up to your mistakes and accept the consequences of those mistakes and so this is why I am entrusting this gem to you. I trust that you will not disappoint me. Take your time familiarizing yourself with the solar sailor and then we shall discuss the target a bit further."

The more Nekrosis was told about the mission, the more excited he became. It didn't sound simple; he would have to find the pirates, which could prove difficult especially if they had already departed. But once he had located them, it was clear they needed to suffer. One did not simply steal from a Dark Lord of the Sith without dire consequences.

Find the pirates, make them suffer, and recover the stolen items.

Nekrosis found it difficult to erase his smile, until Lord Vexx showed him the solar sailer. He was honored that the Krigsbefallaf trusted him with such a vessel, though he intended to take very good care of it regardless. After consulting his data pad for a while, Nekrosis paced around the spacecraft thoughtfully.

"This ship looks expensive…" he said out loud. "And this data mentions a droid pilot is required…"

The Assassin folded his arms and delved into his thoughts for a few moments before speaking again.

"I have an idea, though I realize it might not work," he said carefully. "Clearly this ship is important, and it would be foolish of me to let anything happen to it, but… Well, what if I used it as bait? The ship itself could attract the pirates, prompting them to take it for themselves. And, they'll likely think only a Count or otherwise wealthy individual was on board, so they shouldn't expect much danger, if any at all. Especially if I play the part of a frightened victim until just the right moment, then exact vengeance upon them.

"Though, this is only an idea. I don't know if these pirates have a vessel that would enable them to capture a ship. Also, even if they do, obviously I would ask your permission, Lord Vexx, before risking such a stunt with such an important ship."

All the while, a small part of the apprentice was curious about that reward the Krigsbefallaf had mentioned. Though, the rest of him barely cared. He had been somewhat bored lately, and the chance to pull off such an exciting mission was a reward in itself. But he did his best to control his excitement. Lord Vexx didn't have to ask Nekrosis to do this, but he had reached out to the apprentice nonetheless. Nekrosis didn't want to disappoint him.

The Dark Lord Krigsbefallaf steps away, giving Nekrosis room to explore the vessel designated to his mission. Vexx can feel the Death Apprentice's excitement rippling through the Force like a charge of electricity. It pleases him to be made aware of the young assassin's eagerness and reminds him of why he had decided to call upon Nekrosis in the first place. Vexx inclines his head slightly in a gentle affirmative nod as Nekrosis points out the need for a droid pilot.

"Indeed," he agrees, "EV-A4-D is upgrading the droid pilot's navigational systems elsewhere in the palace. It should be ready for reinstallment shortly."

As Nekrosis lapses into thinking out loud about the mission and how to go about accomplishing it, Vexx listens patiently with quiet interest. He loves it when an apprentice takes the initiative to think creatively. While as a military-minded man, he appreciates the ones who carefully follow orders to the letter, he finds immense pleasure in watching those with the same level of obedience also have the courage to present battle plans and ideas.

"This vessel--if it did indeed once belong to Darth Tyranus--was once taken by pirates," he replies, pacing toward the solar sailor and resting a clawed hand on its hull, "I am sure you have heard the name Hondo Ohnaka come up in cantina conversations and such. He once had the Count and his ship in his possession. As for our current pirate culprits, I am sure they have a large vessel equipped with tractor beams. Most of them do once they become problematic enough to start boarding ships in transit. Being that they are entering trade route areas such as this, I would wager they are traveling in a large vessel."

Again, he inclines his head to Nekrosis, appreciating that his idea is tempered by the knowledge that such an undertaking, however well thought out, still requires a higher authority's permission. Something of a low growl issues from his presence, but it is nothing more than a sigh impeded by cybernetics that don't make such functions sound very friendly. He turns away to cough into his arm before continuing.

"I will be tailing you over the course of this mission, in case you get in over your head and need backup," he wheezes a bit coming out of the cough, "But you will be taking point. I believe playing the role of a looting victim is a good plan and I would like to see you have such an opportunity to use the skills of the path you have chosen for yourself. Ah! Here is A4-D with your pilot droid now."

EV-A4-D totters into the hangar bay flanking an FA-4 pilot droid wheeling toward the Krigsbefallaf and Nekrosis. The former is punching codes into a data pad while the latter makes straight for the solar sailor it was designed to pilot.

"FA-4 is ready to launch, Master," the droid medic reports, "All updated star charts have been downloaded to his processor and I took the time to test the piloting reflexes. Everything checks out, though he does have a squeaky elbow that has me a bit concerned. Sounds like your spine when you get up in the morning."

"TMI, Doctor," Vexx growls.

"TMI? No, that's an FA-4 model, remember?"

"TMI," Vexx growls again, clearly losing his patience, "Too much information."

"Well, look at you getting all hip and down with the modern Basic," the droid medic chuckles, "I am proud of you, Master. You've come a long way. By the way, you probably wouldn't have the squeak if you would just let me extract that blaster bolt you've been carrying around for a few years."

The growl rumbling forth from the Krigsbefallaf deepens and sounds a bit more forceful as his doctor is deliberately pushing his buttons. The last thing Vexx cares about is fitting in, let alone being "hip and down" with anything. He couldn't give a bantha's backside about that. The nagging about the blaster bolt is getting old as this is not the first time EV-A4-D has brought it up. Probably won't be the last time either. Unfortunately, his irate growl withers away in a painful-sounding coughing fit that doubles the hulking cyborg over.

"You didn't take your medicine this morning, did you?" One can hear the deadpan expression in A4-D's tone, but all he gets is a savage death glare from his testy master as his cough persists.

"You might as well get acquainted with the ship and the pilot droid," he chokes, thumping a durasteel fist against his chest, "Force willing, your droid is not as obnoxious as mine."

When Lord Vexx approved of his plan, Nekrosis felt both proud and surprised. He was glad the Krigsbefallaf thought his idea was a good one, but was also a little shocked that he would allow such a risk, especially if this solar sailor truly was as important as he claimed. Still, it was a good plan. Pirates tended to be predictable. And sometimes even entertaining, especially if any of them were like the infamous Hondo from the Clone Wars.

Speaking of pirates… Lord Vexx said they had stolen ghostfire crystals. Nekrosis wondered how much they could sell those for. Hopefully, they hadn't done so already. On the other hand, the young Apprentice felt rather curious. He imagined having almost silent and nearly invisible blades and hoped he could one day obtain such crystals. Nekrosis was certain the Krigsbefallaf likely had interesting plans for them.

The Assassin did his best to appear very interested in the sailor when the cyborg spoke with the droid. Part of him wondered why Lord Vexx didn't just program it to not be so rude. He was also impressed at the Krigsbefallaf. If what the medical droid said was true, he was in constant pain and/or discomfort, and yet he was still one of the most intimidating Sith in the Order. Nekrosis was honored to be in House Cruor along with this deadly cyborg.

Turning his thoughts back to the upcoming mission, Nekrosis removed his crossguard lightsaber from his belt, leaving the standard one hidden under his coat. He considered leaving it behind, or risking hiding it on the ship, but such a saber was very rarely seen. Perhaps it would be worth bringing it if only to see the pirates' faces when he used it.

Debating the thought, he turned to the pilot droid. "FA-4, how talkative are you?" he asked. He needed to know now if the droid might spoil the surprise. Pretending to be a frightened nobody would be difficult if the droid was unable to keep a secret. At the very least, he hoped it used actual words; Nekrosis never fully understood the beeps and whistles of other droids.

Let it never be said that Grievance Vexx easily trusts others. On the contrary, there are only two individuals existing in the galaxy who have earned his unquestioning trust. His fierce loyalty as well. While he will always be loyal to the Empire and House Cruor, there is a loyalty even higher that is only given to a select few. In the case of Nekrosis, the Krigsbefallaf has been watching him for a while, observing his interactions with peers and superiors alike and the Death Apprentice has shown qualities that Vexx, in all his standoffishness, can appreciate.

He growls a few phrases in Kaleesh at EV-A4-D and there can be no doubt that none of those growled words are nice, especially when the droid protests that his intentions are for Vexx's own good. Meanwhile, FA-4 scoots around Nekrosis, studying him as though committing the Cruor assassin to his data bank.

FA-4_pilot_negtd.jpg

"I can make small talk about the weather if that interests you," the pilot droid replies in a monotone male voice, "But the weather only interests me personally when we are in flight."

Clearly no droid is as rude as A4-D and the droid medic doesn't appear to have corrupted FA-4...so far. That could change under the right circumstances.

"At least he does not beep like an infernal piece of hospital equipment," Vexx grumbles, obviously not a fan of the typical astromech style of droid speak either, though he can interpret it quite well.

"Take a test flight, Dödsspöke," the Krigsbefallaf continues, applying a Kaleesh term to Nekrosis's identity. It is yet to be determined if Vexx does this under select circumstances or even if he does it consciously, but there have been a few in House Cruor who have received a mysterious nickname from the cantankerous Kaleesh warlord. "Stick to the perimeter of the estate; familiarize yourself with the controls and how she handles. Count Dooku's property is quite vast. It will afford you enough airspace to put her through her paces and make sure the droid is fully functional."

"Whoa, wait a minute, Master," A4-D speaks up indignantly, "Are you questioning my expertise? Doubting it even?"

"While the temptation is there to say yes just to grind your gears, Doctor, no," Vexx replies, a mischievous glint in his fiery eyes, "I trust your handiwork. However, it is a good rule of thumb to test drive technology prior to mission engagement. The mission itself comes with dangers of its own. If there is an issue with the equipment we intend to use, it is best to reveal it now rather than later."

This was why Nekrosis didn't really want a droid. Personal droids were so often sassy and even disrespectful. He wasn't sure he had the patience for a companion that would constantly criticize or tease everything he did. Though, he had been considering getting a pet lately. That would definitely be better than some sarcastic droid.

"I wholeheartedly agree, Lord Vexx," Nekrosis told the cyborg Sith Lord. "I'm no expert pilot, so familiarizing myself with this ship would be a very good idea."

He approached the back of the sailer, where he believed the entrance ramp to be, expecting the pilot droid to follow. At least this one seemed polite. And possibly quite boring. But hopefully it was capable of lying. He would determine that in a moment, after he was comfortable with the ship.

"Alright, FA-4," Nekrosis said to the droid, "Let's give this thing a test flight, shall we?"

The Krigsbefallaf steps back and moves to the wall where a console's lights flicker in a rhythm all their own and he activates a button that opens the hangar bay. The cool night air floods the stale chamber with the smells of cooling earth and falling dew and the sounds of nocturnal amphibians and insects native to the planet.

"Roger-roger," FA-4 chirps obediently in response to Nekrosis, making his way into the solar sailor and taking his place at the control panel, "Initiating takeoff sequence. Please make sure all safety restraints are secured and all baggage is contained in designated compartments."

"So boring, those Flight Assistant models," EV-A4-D comments, "They never go off script."

"Just a well," Vexx replies, "You go off script enough for two dozen obedient droids."

"You wouldn't want me any other way, Master, and you know it."

"Doubtful."

"All systems are go, master whose name I do not know," FA-4 reports, turning the vessel toward the hangar opening, "I already know how to fly her due to my programming. Feel free to take over the controls at your leisure."

Nekrosis took a moment to enjoy the cool air, standing with his eyes closed as he breathed in the scents of night. Once he was satisfied, he followed the pilot droid into the sailor.

When the droid mentioned baggage, the assassin moved his lightsabers to their hidden pockets withing his coat, then removed his sword. "Is there somewhere I can store this, FA-4?" he asked. If the pirates saw him armed, he didn't want to depend on them assuming it was only decorative. Nekrosis would rather they found it elsewhere and assume it was an impulse purchase.

He followed the droid to the control panel as it announced itself ready to fly. "My name is..." Nekrosis paused here, still not sure if the droid could be trusted in the event of a capture. "Irrelevant," he decided. "Just address me as Master, please."

The Krigsbefallaf and his medical droid look on as Nekrosis embarks on his test flight, not only testing the vessel itself, but testing compatibility with its designated pilot droid. One can tell the cyborg and the EV unit are still arguing amongst themselves in spite of the overriding sounds of the sailor's engines. The piercing glares and body language are enough to assume the two are still as engaged as a cranky old married couple.

"Roger-roger, Master Irrelevant," FA-4 replies to Nekrosis and his mechanical tone makes it hard to guess if this droid is innocently misunderstanding him or perhaps EV-A4-D's snark has rubbed of on him after all, "The locked case on the wall should be a good place to store your personal artifacts."

As the sloop exits the hangar bay and takes to the Serreno skies, it gains altitude quickly under the droid's experienced piloting. Compared to more modern vessels, it rides rough and the sounds of the engines are definitely prominent, though not deafening.

"Do you wish to take the controls, Master Irrelevant?" FA-4 asks, scooting back and gesturing for Nekrosis to take over if he so chooses, "I do not expect a free ride s it is my function to pilot the Punnworca 116, but you might as well know how she works just in case something untoward happens."

Moving to the locked case, Nekrosis proceeded to store his sword inside. He considered adding either one or both lightsabers, but chose to keep them hidden on his person. Returning to the droid he sighed. "Alright, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not so just in case, listen carefully: My name is not Master Irrelevant. I meant you don't need to know my name. Please, only address me as 'Master.' Got it?"

The Sith Assassin didn't entirely want to fly the ship, not if he didn't have to, but a moment of thought made him reconsider. There was a chance the droid could get damaged by the pirates. Then Nekrosis could be stuck for a while.

"Fair enough," he said as he took the droid's place at the controls. "Any tips or suggestions? Piloting isn't exactly a talent of mine."

The squabbling between the Krigsbefallaf and his medical droid seldom ceases without the former simply walking away. This instance is no different. As EV-A4-D continues to chatter on in his nagging tone, Vexx finds his snark and sass to be exhausting, and so the Dark Lord of the Sith paces away to occupy his time with other priorities. His visit to Serreno had been with multiple intentions.

"You had a lot of nerve chiding my father for his pursuit of 'trinkets', Darth Tyranus," he murmurs, glaring up at an elaborate portrait painting of the Count of Serreno, "You, with all your lavish excess of wealth and riches, collecting only the finest pieces of art for your home. A lot of nerve indeed."

Meanwhile, on board the solar sailor, FA-4 scoots aside so Nekrosis will have room to operate the vessel freely. "Roger-roger, Master Got It. I will do my best to retain your numerous identities in my database and--OH MY GOSH! WE'RE GONNA CRASH!"

The pilot droid's high-pitched nasally cry of alarm the moment Nekrosis takes the controls is followed by a mechanical laugh. "Haha. Just kidding. Be careful activating the emergency speed thrusters though. The g-force is strong with this one."

It would appear that perhaps EV-A4-D did tamper with this droid's interaction functionality after all...

Nekrosis' eyes widened and he even jerked a bit in his seat in reaction to the droid's sudden exclamation. Once it was clear the pilot droid was only kidding, Nekrosis showed it his most threatening glare. "Do that again, and I'll relieve you of your head," he practically growled.

He sighed and relaxed before taking a calming breath. "Alright, I'm just going to fly for a bit. I don't want to hear a single sound from you unless it's a necessary or actually helpful tip regarding how to pilot this ship. Is that understood?"

The Assassin shook his head, making a mental note to never get a droid of his own, then tried coaxing the ship to move just a little faster.

While Nekrosis becomes acquainted with his somewhat snarky pilot droid and the sailor assigned to him, Vexx has made his way into Count Dooku's vast library, using his lightsaber to gain entrance to rooms that try to deny him access. He is certain that at one time, this place was probably booby-trapped as much as his own lair that used to belong to his father. Not that those would really stop the three-hundred-pound, seven-foot-tall killing machine tromping down the hallways.

Perusing innumerable titles lining floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall shelving inside the library, the Krigsbefallaf knows what he is looking for; a legendary piece of literature that might actually be helpful to any Sith in the market for an animal companion. The Bestiary of Darth Caldoth.

"I know you have it, Darth Tyranus," the cyborg growls in the silence, "I have studied you and your past as much as I studied my father's. You cannot hide it from me..."

He leans into the Force just a little, searching for it to guide him to the prize he seeks. He had managed to do this before when he and General Invadator had been in search of something similar. After a few moments, the Force does not disappoint and it leads him straight to the written work. He does not waste time. He snatches it from the shelves and tucks it away in his cloak before activating his comlink to check in on Nekrosis.

"How goes the flying, Dödsspöke?" he asks, "Do you feel ready to begin this mission I have chosen you for?"

"My piloting skills could probably use some work," Nekrosis said in reply to Lord Vexx. "But I should be able to pass as a cowardly rich man until the pirates have 'captured' me. After that, well... Then the fun will begin," he finished with a smile.

Nekrosis neglected to mention how annoying the droid was. If anything, he was eager to begin this potentially exciting assignment as soon as possible. Though he tried to control it, Nekrosis was looking forward to this mission immensely.

Pleased by Nekrosis's confidence, the Dark Lord Krigsbefallaf decides it is time to get this mission underway.

"Let us take leave of this place then," he replies, already tromping through the castle back toward the main entrance to collect EV-A4-D and head out to board the Coup De Grâce, "I will be sending you the coordinates to the pirates' last known whereabouts. We can rendezvous there and attract their attention so you can infiltrate."

He ignores the infernal chatter of EV-A4-D as the droid follows him back outside. Blood pressure this and respiratory exercise that. Bah! Sometimes he wishes his caretaker was more like an astro-mech, only able to chirp and twitter. At the very least, all droids should come equipped with a mute button. He doesn't know it, but Nekrosis would probably agree with that thought at this point.

Vexx boards his starfighter and secures himself in the harness before plugging in the coordinates and transmitting them to Nekrosis's data display.

"The Spurs of Celanon await, Dödsspoke," the cyborg Kaleesh ignites the thrusters, "I shall see you there. And Dödsspoke...try not to dismantle the droid."

Nekrosis' smile grew a little more. "FA-4, take over please."

Surrendering the controls to the droid, Nekrosis got up and moved to the rear of the ship. Once there, he unpacked the extra outfits he had brought and changed into one that he felt appeared more wealthy and less... killer. The coat was big enough that he felt comfortable hiding one lightsaber in an inside pocket, and the sleeve hid his wrist blade perfectly.

"FA-4," he said as he returned to the pilot area. "When the pirates capture us, can you pretend I'm a wealthy and cowardly individual or would it be better for you to be silent when they get here?" acc_rogue_shay_versailles_by_satanasov_d8dlqbd-fullview.jpg
